Good morning!

We have good news! Albert tolerated his broth all day yesterday and my nephew wrote that they will probably try soft foods today. If that goes well, they anticipate a discharge date of Tuesday. Our family is dancing in the streets! Well, in the driveway anyway. Thanks for all the prayers!! They are working their 'magic'!

IRISH - so happy to see you at the table! You are traveling a rough road and we are pleased if we can be of any comfort to you. We miss you here but know it takes time. Your Jim sounds like a very special guy and you were both so blessed to have had each other for so many years.

SHIRLEY MAE - glad things are going well at your house for now and we'll hope they stay that way!

BECCA - Your suit sounds purrfect! Do you know yet what the wedding colors are?

JANA - I have seen potential preemies hang in there overterm until labor had to be induced! So Lila will probably keep you guessing, perhaps for her whole life! lol! I have a friend who makes her corned beef by simply covering it with brown sugar and mustard and baking it.

BECKY - I hope you were able to make good use of your quiet day yesterday!

Al & June are going to Seattle to visit Albert and then off to spend the day with their son. We are also going to visit Al and then either come home or go visit MY son! Whatever we do, there will be veggie beef soup made from pot roast leftovers for supper tonite. and maybe some baking powder biscuits to go with.

I hope your supper will be as tasty!

Good afternoon ladies,
I think tonight will be barbequed chicken and mashed potatoes...and some sort of veggie...My quiet day didn't really materialize, had to run Ericka into town, and then of course, run here and there, so, most of the afternoon was gone....Sigh....I think Becca's observation that it will keep me young or kill me, I am thinking the second part of that, for sure. Sure am tired today, didn't sleep well last night. Hope you all are having a great weekend. Becky

Good afternoon! We are overcast… rain in forecast, but it’s getting so dry that I’ll believe when I see. DH’s sister came today, and they are out on the 4-wheeler getting bluebird houses ready for occupancy. I’ve been doing laundry. I made DH pancakes for his brunch, and SIL arrived in time to eat with him.

Irish—so good to see you at the table!!! What a special transition you had with Jim and he had with Kathy as well. I know that gives you so much comfort and peace. He deserved a special “send off”! I love the bag pipes!!!

Becca—your suit(s) sound perfect! Mom was good yesterday. We had salads and visited. I took her skirt that I had altered, and I think she’s pleased. It’s hard for me to buy her anything, but it is identical to all her others, even length is exact.

As for being Irish… I was shocked when I got my DNA results back. I thought I should have been all German and UK, but I’m more German and French, but then the Normans went to Britian… guess I’m just a mixed up mess…

Becky—I’m not sure I could keep running like you do, but you are younger! I’d come for fried cabbage!!! We haven’t started our spring storms yet. I can wait for stormy weather… just bring the calm rain.

Jana—isn’t that something that now Lila is staying put for now! What is your recipe for corned beef? I saw some at the store in packages and wasn’t about to pay for 30% added water!

Shirley Mae—good to see you! Hope things are good with you now! Life is like a roller coaster—full of ups and downs. Ride is always exciting.

Tina--nice to be on spring break! I know it ends all too soon!

Last night we went to a seminar on how to use DH’s new cell phone. I can figure out most all of it, but they answered a few questions I couldn’t. His new one is an LG, and I’ve had Samsung for so long… And… we went and ate Chinese after. I didn’t do buffet but ate from the menu, and I have re-runs of Mongolian chicken and veggies. They gave me enough for 4 meals! I have burgers to make for DH, and probably SIL. I also have some smoked f..h thawed. I may be the only one game for it… and Boomer. (He eats anyting!) I’ll round out with salads and there’s the last bit of cobbler for DH.

Bon appétit!

Good afternoon!

Busy around here. This morning Matt, Crenda and all but little Baden spoke in Church. So we went to their Ward, trying to coax Baden to sit with us. Well it worked for a few minutes, until he realized that Mama was sitting up front on the stand. Matt spoke last, so he came to love Baden better, then when it was his turn, Crenda came and sat with Baden. Tag team church talks! LOL!

Our nephew from across the street is flying out to Seattle this afternoon for a job interview. The interested company is paying for the flight and his hotel. This company contacted him asking to interview for a job. He sent back his salary request and the company was still interested. If he takes it, he and my niece Sandee won't move there. He will take a small apartment and come back here on weekends. The job pays enough and more to be able to do that. We will see...

Not much more - Ethan came over yesterday to have corned beef with us - he loves it! Kate is still doing well. Matt and family are getting ready to a quick trip to California to visit with Daniel and Kari. They have more kids than seats in the truck, so Crenda will follow in their minivan. Matt will haul the fifth wheel to have a place to stay. Which means they have room to haul me back some of my favorite tamales! WHOO HOO! I know I am silly! But they are so good!

Dinner - leftover corned beef - grilled swiss cheese corned beef sandwiches.

Mary - oh what wonderful news! Tuesday, to come home is a good thing - first day of Spring and a new beginning for Al!

Becca - where buttons are your not favorite thing to sew, mine is hems! But we do it because we love them!

Becky - sometime you will get a rest - I just haven't found it yet!

Irish - So glad to see you! I think of you often and send a hug as well!

Enjoy!
Jana
