The LORD replied,"I have forgiven them, as you asked" Numbers 14:20

Just enough Light for the Step You are on

The history of the Israelite's in the desert was checkered with times of eager obedience and great joy along with times of stubborn disobedience and great punishment. God had performed many miracles to deliver His people from Egypt, yet they still continued to doubt Him. He then took them them into the desert and tested them.

He tested them twice once for water and once for food. He only wanted them to be dependent on Him for everything. Yet, they complained and did not ask. They did not pray. Moses prayed on their behalf each time.

Does this sound familiar? Do you know of anyone who wants to get to the "promised land" but doesn't want to do what is necessary to make the trip?

The passage illustrated that God's capacity for forgiving the sin and foolishness of His people is unlimited. We need only confess and He is faithful and just to forgive us (1 John 1:9).

God often provides just enough light for the step we are on, but we have to trust Him and walk in obedience to His leading. Then He will illuminate the next step we are to take.

Hugs and prayers

God is ever faithful.I remember once telling my DD she had to trust God.She said Mom your faith is stronger than mine I told her yourfaith becomes stronger the more you lean on God & trust him completely. What a joy to know we can fully trust & know he will forgive us & hear our prayers. He only wants us to trust him.
