SUPPER CLUB - Saturday, March 10

Good morning,
Yesterday was awesome! Warm (well, it was 50*) and sunny! We took a ride 45 miles north to a few tiny towns. Filled our propane tanks for the trailer where my sis is 'living', and then toured the towns, stopped for coffee and pastry at my grandson's bakery, collected some hugs from him, drove around some scenic country roads, and explored a new-to-us park & campground. Pretty waterside park but we'd never get our trailer in there. Too bad. When we got home, I "let" my sister help me put out my collection of yard art - about 30 items in all - bunnies, frogs, deer, coyotes, racoons, squirrels, gnomes, and even an armadillo. It was fun to see where she placed everything as I gave her no hints where I usually put it all. Some items she put in exact same locations I always have and some were in new spots and look great.
Today we plan to all go visit Albert, who took a walk down the hall last night. The way they are managing his pain is brilliant. He has an epidural and he is receiving just enough med through that to control pain, but still allow him to walk and remain alert. SOOO much better than when my other brother had the same surgery two years ago - in a different hospital with different doctors.
BECCA - I think I'm going to hire you for yard work here! Between you and June, things will be spiffy in no time! And yes, Bill's brother's 50th anniversary is in April. That's what we're shooting for. Thank you for thinking of him. They are Mike & Barb. My brother is Al & Barb.
BECKY - I think kids often look at us adults as if we have third eyes, so don't feel special! lol! Bummer about the oven. We have a fairly large toaster plus our trailer is right out the back door, so we have back-up everything.
VELDA - hi there! I was thinking of you yesterday and that you would soon be starting for your northern home. Hope you are able to dodge the blizzards on your trip home!! Weather has been kind of crazy all over the country.
Tonite we're all invited to our friends, Tex & Annette, for supper. Rumor is it's going to be a baked potato bar and salad. And I'm taking an appetizer. I got the recipe from Chickie - thread a long toothpick with cooked tortellini, pizza pepperoni, olives, mozzarella pearls, tomatoes, artichokes, basil leaves, etc. Drizzled with Italian dressing. Should be tasty! If it's not, Chickie will be hearing about it! lol!
Hope your supper is tasty, too!
