SUPPER CLUB - Wed, Feb 21st

Good morning,
IRISH, I was so sorry to read your message this morning. My heart aches for you. I was so looking forward to you getting to go to San Antonio, but I know where your heart needs to be. Please know we're all here for you, hugging and holding your hand across the miles as you travel this path.
JANA - did you get all your predicted snow? Will be crossing my fingers for Kate and Lila! But she will probably do just fine even if early. Enjoy making the baby quilt! OH, and I LOVED the little Bo Peep dress! I was a twirler, too, when I was little, and I would have given my little sister to have had a dress like this! (though, to be honest, I'd have given you my little sister, dress or no dress! lol!)
LINDA - So sorry to hear about your quilty friend's illness. This is a tough one. Yes, we live in sad times. When I grew up, we didn't even have locks on our doors and always left the keys in the car. It's a different age. Your photos are beautiful! I really enjoyed seeing those lovely blossoms. I came back twice through the day for a 'spring fix'! I hope you get to go camping soon! We have friends from here who are drifting around CA right now, enjoying the weather and the wineries. last I heard they were in Placerville.
CHICKIE - it sounds like part of your shower gift should be a box of Thank You cards, some stamps, a pretty pen, and a book of Miss Manners Rules of Etiquette, with portions highlighted! I hope your weather improves! We can't have you shivering and huddling under quilts for another 6 weeks!!
BECCA - I love that you are always so active in your yard. I bet you can't wait for spring to really get out there and 'dig in'!
Thank you all for your kind comments on my X-St Santa. I loved doing it but, as I told Bill, I feel like 10# has been lifted off my shoulders to finally have it finished and on my dining room wall! Yesterday I got out 13 fall-themed swap blocks from my UFO box and made a table runner from 3 of them and placemats from the rest. Each placemat will be a different block, but each will have the same 3-1/2" strips down each side to tie them all together. I needed a project that for now, doesn't require much thought. Or time. My sister and DBIL are here now and there will be little time on my own for the next 3 weeks.
I'm still thinking on supper - we have leftover chili and cornbread, though we may go to Mexican Happy Hour tonite with our friends who also know my sis and BIL. Or we may have chili dogs . . .
Have you got some options for your supper rounded up yet?
