SUPPER CLUB - Sat, Feb 17

Good morning!
We're set to have a rockin' and rollin' day here - lots of wind - up to 45 mph - and unending rain. I don't think there's any place I need to go except out to the trailer to get my countertop polish. Days like this make me worry about that big tree leaning over our house, but my sewing room is at the other end of the house. I'll only be maimed and probably not completely killed if the tree comes down. Gads! Neighbors!!! You would think 2-1/2 acres would be enough space to be free of irritating neighbors.
I have my wall-hanging almost finished. Yay! I even have it halfway stitched down. I'll finish that today and hopefully hang it, and then clean up my sewing room. I think I only have one more evening of stitching to do to finish my big counted cross-stitch, too! Two big projects in one day! Though, I still will need to sew tiny iridescent seed beads all over the cross-stitch to simulate snowflakes falling.
My sis had her breast lumps removed yesterday and she said all went well. Though she was still numb from the local they gave her. We'll see what she has to say today! If all is well, she has decided they want to leave today for our house - 1,400 miles - and they should arrive here Monday afternoon. She keeps changing the dates on me as weather forecasts come in so I have to be on my toes to be ready. JANA - they will probably be rolling through SLC late today or early tomorrow. If you see a little black car - that's my sis! Wave!
VELDA - nice to see you! How was the steak?
BECKY - glad JR is coping with (without?) his teeth. I love Cream of Wheat, though we usually eat oatmeal here. When does your DD return from her conference?
JANA - sorry your metal wall got punted. But on to Plan B. Maybe you could find a wallpaper that looks like your metal . . They have wallpaper that looks like wood, so why not? Or at least a border . .
IRISH - What's the egg report today? And how are you feeling?? And did Scout get his hamburger??? (our tractor is named Scout, too) Jim actually got up in the middle of the night to give Simba his chicken?? lol! My kind of guy! I knew I liked him!! My son's cats were waking him up at 0200 for a snack, too. He'd lock them out of the bedroom and they'd scratch and howl at the door until he got up and gave them a spoon of wet food. He finally found an automatic canned food dispenser and taught the cats how to feed themselves. lol!! We saw the news and pictures of the tornado damage in Uniontown. Unbelievable.
BECCA - you've really been having some excitement at your house! How many houses are on your road? Is it just a small county road or a dead end that serves a limited number of homes? Glad you have your power back and hope your road is fixed soon.
As for supper, I'm thinking maybe a scramble. I have some kielbasa, eggs, potatoes, green pepper, and onions. And we'll have avocado and tomatoes on the side. Yum!
