SUPPER CLUB - Friday, Feb 16th
Good morning!
Dog-boy started whining at 4:30 this morning. Bill is a better pretender than I am so I finally got up to take him out. The dog, not Bill. Though it was tempting to take Bill out. I knew he was faking sleep! lol!
So an early start to the day! Yesterday was Costco. We loaded up with everything. When we empty the car, we have to carry everything from the garage through the family room and up the stairs. Foxy has taken to laying at the top of the stairs. And he wasn't moving! So Bill had to step up the last step AND jump the cat, while carrying heavy loads of stuff. Foxy just watched him every step. So funny to watch! After we were all done and everything was put away, he got up, stretched and yawned, and slowly strolled away, tail in the air. Such attitude! lol!
My wall-hanging is starting to come together! yay! It's slow going, but it's going. I'm "unstuck" finally! I'm hoping for more progress today.
JANA - I can't wait to 'see' your bathroom! You'll share pix when it's all done, won't you??
CHICKIE - your babies left you?? And didn't look back?? Ouch!! But then, we raise them to be able to go out into the world and be able to take care of themselves, right? Still . . . maybe they'll come back with Lint for treats and slobbery kisses one day. congrats on the big win for Doyal!
IRISH - how you feeling today? And that Scout! His texting skills are pretty sharp! He caught on faster than I did! Happy belated birthday to your Jim. It was also my late FIL's bd, too. I think Dad would have been 98.
BECCA - You were shoveling rock?! What a woman!! well you did it! You made your beans sound so delicious that I couldn't resist. I looked at the prices at the regular store and I ended up buying a 25# bag at Costco for $13.99. Glad they are good keepers! Nice thing about these is that they are already triple washed and sorted. I hate doing that! I think I'll make ham & beans and cornbread for my sis and BIL when they arrive next week.
TINA - glad your crew is improving. I hope Dad gets on the right road soon, too. How has he been feeling apart from that? When does he go back for his ca recheck? So your house is all clean and disninfected. Your yard is all nice now and watered. Your dad is moved in. I say it's Tina Time!!
Bill said he wants more lasagna tonite! I like it but three nights in a row is a lot. However, if it means he's happy and I don't have to cook - I can deal with it! lol! But then we'll be done and on to new food!
Do any of you shop at Grocery Outlet? Our friend calls that the Used Food Store. lol! cracks me up every time!

Hi Mary and all my other friends. Sorry, I been missing lately. Just don't get on here much the last few days.
Even cooking has been hit and miss. Tonight we are going to VFW here for their "steak night". Friends have been raving about how good it is. So...going to give it a chance.
Glad to have some warmer temps here. It's really been a chillier winter this year.

Good morning ladies.
We had a beautiful day yesterday, but today, very cold. I have enjoyed the week off, for the most part, although, got very little accomplished. DD has been gone since Wednesday, for a conference for work, and of course, that is when everyone needs everything.
JR is doing well with his teeth, he did say no cream of wheat, Jana. Apparently, when he left home, he said no more of that! Tonight, I think we will attempt potato soup. He had a vanilla shake for lunch yesterday, and said it seemed to help with the swelling. He is supposed to be getting an upper plate, and a partial on his lower Mary. Not sure what all yet, but that was the plan, last I heard.
You all have a great day. Becky

Good morning!
Yes, I will share pictures when the bathroom is done. One of my design elements has been changed. My tin roofing material wall is out. Safety reason - it is metal with electrical boxes/switches in it, so that could cause a shock hazard without being grounded and to ground a metal wall would take driving copper ground rods into the soil below the basement floor, which here takes a system of rods connected together and would involve chiseling out the basement floor to install. All of this has been worrying Michael on how to give me this design option, so I punted the wall from the design. Would have looked very cool, but safety is more important. I will probably use bead board instead.
Ethan is coming for awhile today and I am sewing.
Dinner - either patty melts or tortilla soup.
Enjoy!
Jana

Good afternoon from another gloomy, very soggy, chilly, SW. Pa...We had terrible storms last night and then again during the night...In fact, about 30 miles away, Uniontown, they're thinking a tornado went through...The destruction is unbelievable...
Mary, isn't it funny how husbands can hear some noises, like the oven timer going off, mentioning his name on the phone while he's in the other room but if one of the fur babies get up during the night, sound asleep...Used to happen here all the time but we did have 1 cat, Simba, our Red Persian who wanted his chicken during the night and would go to Jim's side of the bed, reach up and give him that little love tap and if the 1st tap didn't work, more followed...Sure enough, Jim would get up and Simba would get his chicken and then of course sleep most of the day.....Not that any of our fur kids have been spoiled.......
Not much happening in this neighborhood, all's quiet, for now....BUT, the big news.....We have another egg in the eagle nest! I thought what a perfect birthday present for Jim....This eagle has been known to have 3 so we'll just have to wait and see if there's another.....
Feeling a little better today and hopefully this weekend, I'll be back to normal (whatever that is) and be able to visit with Jim....
As for dinner, probably another night with soup....
You all have a good day...............
Happy eating...........

Hello, late here. Its been quite a day.Not one to repeat. Our power went off last nite at 1:23.Came back on at 1:24 this afternoon. And there were only 4 out.The line on our drive coming up from Creek fell after a pine tree hit the pole. The new house that was built last year should have cut it down.
And the power Coo did damage to the road & wooden structure we have at top of hill to prevent water from cutting under the pavement .So now we deal with this.Man is coming to look next wk.Everyone uses the road but none sees any upkeep. So goes life.
I planned to have tacos bec I never got them made yesterday. We had t—a. Salad instead.
Maryz Our Beans were quite tasty. And Mine I buy are washed also.Theres never
Any dirt or grit.
Irish Good to Hear you are improving.Still take care & don’t rush it.Happy Birthday to Jim.Our DGSs is Today.
Chickie You did a great job of parenting.lol
Vel Good to hear from you.Enjoy your meal.
Tina. So glad things are gettting done.
Jana Sure your bathroom will be pretty.
Happy eating to all. Becc
