Good morning!
Good news here! My sister is gonna live! She had her mammo yesterday as well as an ultra-sound and the radiologist reports that both tests indicate only fatty cysts, no tumors. She is still going to keep her appointment with her surgeon this morning since it's on the books, and to get a second opinion. The surgeon may want to remove them. But no cancer! Though she's not too ecstatic about any diagnosis that has the word 'fatty' in it. So their plans to travel here from CO and stay with us for about a month are on!
We cleaned our downstairs carpets yesterday. Today we'll be putting that room back together. I have nothing on the calendar, no place I need to go, and no one is coming here so I told Bill I"m not leaving this house for nothin'! Going to spend the day in sweats. I may not even wear a bra!
CHICKIE - whatever would the family do without you! No dog walker, no calf-saver, no COOK!! no phone-getter. They should all have you on a pedestal! Bill never listens to our conversations either. Yet, he and Other Doyle (Bill calls him Doylie) had a 3-month conversation about tires by text, e-mail, phone, through their RV forum, and in person and they both remember every word of it!! your dog yoga is funny. Here, we have cat yoga. lol!
IRISH - So nice that you had such a sweet greeting on your last visit with Jim. But then, you did have that Frosty! what??? You don't like our Hawks' uniforms?? I think their 'dress blues' are the prettiest in the league. But they did go all lime green one game and that was AWFUL! They must have thought so too when seeing the footage later (or perhaps they got letters) cuz we've never seen the all-lime since! lol! No, I won't be losing any parts. I already can play tic-tac-toe on my belly with the stitch lines there. I have no more expendable parts! Hope your ice clears soon. We have things starting to bud here - forsythia, honeysuckle, and more.
BECCA - sounds like your DH has the right idea - go out for lunch and bring home extra pie! I don't bake much either because if I do, we eat it!
LINDA - that's a lot of quilting in a short period of time, but I guess if you're going to OD on something quilting is the best choice! Yes, we're entering that time of life. I used to go to weddings, then baby showers, then anniversaries. Now it's hospital waiting rooms and funerals. It's all gone so fast!
I have an extra chicken breast and a lot of veggies so maybe I'll make a small chicken & veggie pot pie for tonite. With salad. But I'll assemble it this morning so it's ready to pop into the oven later this evening.
What are you popping into your oven for tonite?
