Psalm 148
Praise of the Lord is to permeate every aspect of the universe. It would be impossible to define the scope of God's dominion and lordship, but in an effort to be as comprehensive as possible, the psalmist emphasizes that everyone and everything is to praise the Lord. Eight times in the first four verses he expresses in the strongest imperative that we are to praise the Lord. God desires that we love Him, that we serve Him, that we fear Him, that we are obedient to His commandments, and that we live for Him, but the overarching priority is to praise Him. All else that we do is for the purpose of His praise; it is to glorify, exalt, and bless His name. This is God's desire for (1) all the hosts of heaven, (2) all of creation on the earth, and (3) all mankind.

Great devotion Izzy. I always wonder when I look at the dark sky and see all the stars how anyone cannot believe there is a God.

Sherry, Exactly how I was thinking...David Crowder has a song called "Stars"...it is one of my favorites of all. It speaks of the Stars and the Sun..all creation, really.
Becca, He does love us so much!... sometimes I think people forget that part and dwell on fear of Him in a vengeance way...and forget what Love He has for us...once we understand that especially..I think wanting to do what is right and praising Him and obedience comes more natural..I don't know if I said that like I mean it..I hope so.
Izzy, Although I don't comment much I try to start each weekday with your devotional..thank you for doing this.
