Jan 25 daily devotion

Image
Psalm 144

Man is nothing compared to the greatness and sovereignty of God who is eternal and all-powerful. We are like a mere breath or a passing shadow, and that is pretty insignificant! Just the fact that God would be mindful of us and take an interest in us is an awesome reality. After all, He is the one to which the heavens bow down; He spans the lightning flashes across the sky and causes mountains to quake. Yet HE calls us out of a world that is alien to Him to be His people. He rescues us from evil and delivers us from the storms of life and from a world that lives in the deceitfulness and falsehood of sin. Like David, this should elicit a submissive spirit on our part toward Him and be reflected in songs of praise in our hearts.

Hugs and prayers.

The Lord is indeed mindful of us and knows each one of us, down to the number of hairs on our heads. He suffered for our sins, not as a group of people, but each one of us indiviually. Knowing our pains and trials too. What a great gift that is to us, a gift that is at times, hard to grasp and understand all that He does for us.
