Psalm 135
As in Psalm 115, we are once again reminded that idols are nothing. They have no life; neither are they able to bless and give life to anyone. They are simply the objects that man has created by his own hands to be the devotion of his life. In contemporary life, what represents the focus and passion of our life? There are those who have been successful in business or politics who literally worship their status and success; these things are the driving force of all they do and the priority of their life. Others have finally acquired their dream home or an expensive, luxury auto and in essence, worship their possessions. One's family, a fanaticism with sports, or anything that dominates our time and attention and becomes the driving passion of our life can become an idol. Those who create them and trust them to become like them, lacking in substance and live. God is above all and is absolutely sovereign, doing whatever He pleases. And what pleases Him is doing what will bring glory and praise to Him; so all of us at all times personally and collectively are to revere and bless the lord

Hugs and prayers
Izzy
