Good morning!

I know a lot of you are minus-frosty this morning! Hope our warming temps reach you soon! We are 39* at the moment (5:00am) but will soar all the way up to 41* in the 'heat' of the day! Our Seahawks are playing today - last regular season game. We'll be parked on the sofa, snacking and cheering! In my younger years I never thought I'd say this, but football season is too short!!🏈

Just to let you all know if you want to play or simply check it out - I posted my Valentine Swap this morning. I've never hosted a swap before so it will be a learning experience for me. Wish me luck!πŸ’•πŸ’–πŸ’ž

Tina's mom's service is going to be Jan 4th at 5pm MST. Tina was asked by her dad to write the obituary. When she told me that it occurred to me that my dad also died on the same day (in 1994) and his service was also Jan 4th. Odd coincidence.

BECCA - 9 chicken pot pies! What a gift! I hear you are suffering from gout. I hope it was nothing we served here that is causing it!

BECKY - funny about the dog not wanting to use a different door! I could go for some of that alfredo . . .

SHIRLEY MAE - sounds like some good eating is in your very near future!! Yum!! Hugs and thanks to your DS for his brave service to us all!

LINDA - I checked out your quilts and they are both over the top special! What a nice job you've done on them! They will be well-loved! Do you have a 1/4" presser foot for your Featherweights? They are fun to sew on, aren't they

JANA - TWO toilets?? Well, aren't you the spoiled one! Are you saying your master bath throne is SH---Y?? Sorry - couldn't resist!
lol! Yes, another year of my bad jokes is coming your way!

IRISH - I LOVE your names for "our" eaglets - Merry and Jingle! You know, before I went to nursing school, I used to process medical insurance claims and I had a client whose name was truly Merry Christmas. Sounds like you and I were doing the same thing yesterday - putting the last of Christmas away, vacuuming, dusting, and laundry! Funny about Scout having to come to Gramma's because company was coming. Too bad they didn't bring his overnight bag! Though he might have been persuaded to share YOUR bed if invited! Scottie is funny = he wants no part of anything that could even be thought to be a dog bed. Not even as a 7-week old puppy. But he sleeps on top of my grandpas old steamer trunk in our bedroom. It's covered in old blankets just for him (and for the sake of the trunk!).

VELDA - I had white, ivory, black, grey, and red boots for dancing. the red ones had fringe up the sides. I made beaded boot bracelets to match Bill's hatbands. and yes, we still dance occasionally. We were on an exhibition western dance team for 10 years and danced at fairs, competitions, rodeos, and other similiar events. In fact, Bill and I met while taking dance lessons almost 30 years ago.

Tonite we're going to our friends Gus & Claudia's, for NYE. She said she is serving Mac & Cheese! the real stuff! She knows it's my favorite! We're taking blackberry crisp and vanilla ice cream for dessert. and I better go get my berries out of the freezer! Thanks for reminding me! We'll play some games and probably be home long before midnight. but you never know. . . . We may hang in there. Though I woke up at 0400 this morning and don't see a window of time for a nap today. Bummer.

What's the plan at your house for NYE? I hope I won't be reading about it in the paper tomorrow morning!

and do stop by the Valentine swap. You might be tempted . . .

Good morning.
Mary, that is a odd coincidence. Your evening plans sound yummy. Wishing you the best of luck on your first swap.
We're have BBQ ribs, potato salad and Cole slaw for supper, I'll be feeding Dad. .. not sure if he's coming her (I hope so) or if we're taking good to him. I'll ask him later. He has cataracts and can't drive at night but Frankie can pick him up and take him home easy enough.
Thank you all for your prayers and good thoughts.
Tina

Good afternoon!

The day is fast in passing and so is this year. May look back and see how our luves have been blessed and that we will continue to see the many blessings in the New Year.

Mary - That is not quite the word I came up with, but more in the line of the man who invented the toilet, John C Crapper.

Tina -- good to see you. Is Dad still moving near you?

Dinner is pizza and bd cake for dessert.

See ya next year!
Enjoy,
Jana

Happy New Years Eve to you all.
Hard to believe another year has past. Time does seem to moving a lot faster these days.
Tonight, I have some pork chops over rice in the oven. Needed something to warm the house up a little. That wind is brutal out there. Not sure if I will stay up and ring in the new year or not. Bought the sparkling grape juice for the grands, but one is gone to a slumber party, one is sick, and one, well, you never know about him! Last year, I laid down a bit, and no one woke me up, so we will see this year.
Best wishes to each and every one of you for the New Year. Becky
