Nov 29 daily devotion

Psalm 115

We can identify many challenges and issues in our life that seem so complex, creating problems and stress and robbing us of peace and a sense of well being. We may find our efforts to know God are a struggle, and a consistent, victorious relationship is elusive. It comes down to a simple matter of whether we live for ourselves and strive in our own strength or relinquish all that we need to God. God is truth; His way is one of grace and loving kindness. He meets our needs, not for our sake but that He might receive the glory of our faith and worship. Otherwise, we would take credit for success and working out our problems, which in essence is idolatry, instead of giving glory to God. Putting anything above God, even exalting oneself in a futile self-confidence, is no different from the stone and wooden idols worshipped by Israel's pagan neighbors.

We should remember that God is a living and personal God. He sees and knows our every need.

He really does take good care of us. And I am grateful he meets my needs. Because of God I am not needing anything. I want some things but don't need anything.

As I sit back and look at my life I can see where God has stepped in and made sure I was ok. It's all him, I am a blessed girl.

Scripture states what God's purpose is, "For this is my glory, to bring to pass the imortality and eternal life of man". All He does is for our benefit and blessing, so that we may live and gain all the He hath. How much He gives us.
