SUPPER CLUB - Monday, Nov 27

Good morning!
No rain this morning, so it looks like I just might get my walk in! I will walk in drizzle, but not in steady rain. I like to think I'll melt!
Never got the tree up yesterday. but today is the day, or so says my hubby. It was so wet that we pulled it, water bucket and all, into the garage to dry out. So I put out a few other things instead and cleaned some messes before settling down in front of the Seahawk/49-er game. I also finished up a sewing project, and the last Christmas cards. We love cards, both sending and receiving. It's a big deal at our house, choosing our cards. And we're sending them out early this year because we had a mailing address change. We still get mail at the house, but are gradually changing it all over to a Private Mail Box at the UPS store. I warned our neighbor across the road several times about mail theft (the reason we switched) but she still kept mailing her husband's company checks from her mailbox. The very day of my last warning, 4 checks were stolen, altered, and presented at different banks for a total of $20,000. All covered by banks' fraud insurance but what a mess! Now they have a PMB at UPS, too!
So today will be tree and rest of decorating. I have nothing else on my agenda.
BECCA - what a nice day you had with your DGS and his GF. And you really pulled together a feast on short notice! I love making doll clothes! But Autumn was done with baby dolls by age 6 and Barbies by age 10 and I have no grand daughters so I've made no more clothes since then.
JANA - I love your turkey/noodle tradition! And i love your method of making them. It's how my mom did it and how I do it, too. No fancy pasta machines here! Gosh, now I want noodles! You and Chickie have whetted my appetite for them.
TINA - watching that scene in Christmas Vacation was a little too much like some of our past tree quests! Frozen eyes and everything! lol! and we always did take a picnic and there was always a big bonfire that someone built and people kept going throughout the day. It really was fun. But the tree farm is fun, too, if more expensive.
LINDA - are you home yet? How was Hearst Castle??
IRISH - no cats running through your paint trays? Where's the fun in that?
CHICKIE - I know you've been busy as always with your crew, plus decorating.
I made a loaded homemade pizza last night. Maybe it was too loaded. We have 3/4 of it left! so that will be supper again tonite. And a salad. I'm craving greens.
What's the story in your kitchen tonite?
