Yesterday I put bindings on two quilts, ran 5 errands, and cleaned the fridge. If I accomplished anything else, it wasn't memorable. Today - one more binding, sit with DH and finalize plans for our Christmas party, wash a sweater, chiropractor, and hit ACE hardware to pick up some drill bits for DH for Christmas. By golly, I think I may get to do some quilt-building today!
BECCA - tiny trees don't count with me, either. Even in our trailer we have a 2-1/2' fiberoptic tree, and I'd have it bigger but DH didn't want me to poke a hole in the roof! When I was making doll clothes, the kids' dad used to watch me try on each outfit, sometimes sevearal times to, you know, get the fit right. He accused me of making them just so I could play with them! lol!
TINA - are you SURE that soup was good?? lol!! Have a good time at Kevin's tonite. As or your African Violets dying, I'm certainly no expert. Mine simply cling to life. But they do like the correct light. Mine do best in an east or north window in winter, but in summer I have to move them out of the direct light. And they like to be fed African Violet food (I used that on all my plants, actually). But it looks like Linda might be able to give you some serious pointers for success. Or Google A.V. Care
LINDA - I love your violets! And your pots! I bet they love living where you put them. You make me want to go out and buy more, but I simply have no good places for plants in our house. And I have 9 houseplants already but my violets need dividing so that would be 2 more! I'm always looking for more violet pots but they are hard to find.
JANA - haha! I think it's funny that you think with a puppy there will be fewer track problems that with kittenS! But puppies are so fun! We loved Scottie as a puppy. For a while there, our popularity with the grands really soared! Bill read several books on training, and as for house-training they say take the puppy outside every two hours (yes, through the night, too) to the same place in the yard where you want him to always go potty. and use the same word each time. Our word was "potty" (so original). Someone else I know used "Get busy". You can use flapjack if you want. But the dog will know the word and be trained quickly. Scottie was 7 weeks when we got him and was completely trained by 9 weeks. In that time we had only 2 piddles in the house. Of course, we don't count the boom-boom he left on Tina's carpet when we stopped in for dinner on our way to Texas when he was 5 months old. That was BILL's fault. Tina and I were in her sewing room and Bill was talking with Frankie and ignored Scottie's whining. Sorry, Tina!!
BECKY -welcome to Supper Club! You learn something new every day here! and now you know about African Violet pots. My big one is in a clay pot, too.
Supper - I'm considering pasta. I just need to decide if we want marinara sauce, pesto, or alfredo. . . . There will also be salad and garlic bread.
How's the plan coming together at your house?
