Yesterday I sewed the binding on a quilt made from Churn Dash blocks I won in a Christmas block lotto last year. Then I went shopping to buy my DDIL a new nightie for her hospital stay. I went to three stores before I could find a simple short-sleeved knee length nightgown. and then I had to get a size bigger than she wears. But it's Christmas print (Elephants wearing Santa hats - weird) and she loves Christmas stuff, so I think she'll like it. Everything now is pajamas and I didn't want a waistband because she will have a long vertical incision. I also got her some lotion, chocolate, a deck of cards, and some Christmas mysteries.
Today I'm going through all my stash, refolding a few things, straightening it all, and making mental notes of what I have and gaps that I can fill at the big sale on Tuesday at my favorite LQS. I NEED nothing, but at ~$5/yard, I stock up for those times when I DO need it. I doubt this shop will be around many more years, given the owner's age and declining health.

IRISH - congrats on that big win! Don't spend it all in one place! lol! I love Bingo. We play it at our RV Rally. I never win, but I don't care. Just love the game.
JANA - You might want to inquire about quilting prices ASAP and if they are in your range, get on her list because I bet everyone in the class will be wanting that specialized quilting. And one other thing to consider - if you are planning to make JN quilts for all the kids, you probably need to do them all the same way. . . .
BECCA - the big new super stores can be fun and they offer a lot of unique (and expensive!) foods, but for the most part, I don't buy those foods. When my parents were alive, they couldn't get around the store without resting. And I've never seen a park bench in a grocery store yet! So I did a lot of their shopping for them. Now they do have riding carts which my dad used a little bit, but he kept crashing it into displays! lol!
TINA - I would be so grateful for a grilled cheese sandwich prepared and delivered to me, I would kiss your blessed feet!! But if you and Frankie can laugh then you are a much better person than I!!! If your mom were my mom, she would have seen the last of my bee-hind years ago!! Once they get moved and settled, you will be off cooking duty, right? A person who thinks she can drive ought to be able to cook!
CHICKIE - I know today is your mom's big day and you were busy baking cakes yesterday for the open house in her honor. Tell her happy birthday from us!!
We have enough chicken chili enchilada casserole left over for tonite, I think. Tomorrow night, I'll have to think up new food - probably pork chops.
What are you thinking up for tonite?
