Transfer photos from phone to PC???

In the past, I have always used "Windows Live Photo Gallery" to import photos to my phone.
It's been months, since I have done this. When I went to do it this morning, the computer kept coming up with "can't find anything to transfer". Grrrrrr!
So..... I started research and found that I must check my Android settings to make sure my phone will allow the transfer through USB.
Couldn't find the place to check that, so I went another way to research.
Then I find that my Windows 10 has a "Photo App". So going throught that, I find that my phone needs the Microsoft One Drive App.
Yeeks! Now, it is doing something, but still not sure if I am accomplishing what I really want. And when it's done finding the photos, will I be able to move them to my folders where I like to find my pictures.

Have any of you experienced these things. If you have, I appreciate any tips you can share.

Vel--I'm going to try to get my photos to transfer without the "phone dump" via cables. So much technology!!!

I am not sure what you mean that you can transfer without the Phone Dump. I am so confused, LOL

I can transfer photos from my iPhone to my laptop.

I plug my phone into my lap top and my lap top recognizes my phone. I import the pictures from my phone to my lap top and save them.

If this doesn't work you can always e-mail the pictures to yourself from your phone. Open the e-mail in your computer and right click on the picture and go to save picture as. then give it a name and save it.

Clear as mud right?
