Good morning!
Boy, have we had the rain here! I have enough to share if anyone needs any . . . But you have to come get it. I don't have any rain mailing packages.
IRISH - exciting to think of a wedding in the near future. Maybe you need to start thinking of a wedding quilt . . . ;o) And yes, I think all the meds you take gather in one central place, have a meeting, and get their assignments! lol!!
BECCA - I think the Check Your Meds Day is kind of new. But it was on the national news the other night. and such a great idea! Even if a person gets all their meds at the same pharmacy. And don't forget - meds can interact adversely with simply supplements, too. They are finding that to be a big problem. Things to watch out for are personality changes, loss of appetite, diarrhea, constipation, mental confusion, less pain, more pain, blood clots, difficulty breathing, bleeding, less effectiveness, and more. I think a Check Your Meds Day is an excellent idea!
JANA - I'm sorry. Head hanging here, but I didn't do any JN work. I did, however, get it out and look at it! I have all the fabrics in small tote with the pattern. But there was SOOO much reading! And I was tired. and after reading of all the problems you've had - and you're a TEACHER! - I decided I better wait until I was more focused. But I will NOT let it buffalo me - just delay me. But I do have the ziplocks (a standard item in my sewing room - all sizes!) and the paperclips! lol! How is your cold?
Tonite - I'm thinking the white chili I mentioned yesterday. I've got the chicken ready to do, some carrots, celery, onions, garlic, white beans, bacon bits. and whatever else I can find to add. It will be a great in-front-of-the-TV Sunday night supper. And you're all welcome to come join us as long as you root for the Seahawks!!

Good afternoon from warm, sunny, (yes, I know, you're tired of hearing me say that, right?), SW. Pa....Boring, boring, boring, lol....
Mary, I agree about the different reactions you get from those meds, along with a sticker shock...Just in the past couple of months, there has been a shortage (all over the country) on my most important Rx, so Doc had to switch and now to my "amazement", I'm paying 4 times more...The amazing part, it's made by the same company that made the one that's no longer available...Sound a little "strange"???
You white chili sounds super but before I run over to join you and watch the Seahawks, do they all stand with their hands on their hearts for the Anthem? I've kind of eliminated NFL because of the bowing and/or entwining of arms....So far, I'm good with Notre Dame football and my Penguins...
And speaking of Notre Dame, boy did they have a game last night! Jim would have been so excited....BUT, the Penguins didn't fare as well, kind of embarrassed, bummer!
Nick just sent me a text and will be stopping over before he gets on the road back to school...Stephan and his gal will stop over either tonight or tomorrow morning on their way back to NC...And then Kathy will be here in the morning and flying out later in the afternoon....AND I will be resting tomorrow night!
Last night we had a great time at Terry's little get together....What a joy to see him so happy...I often think, had it not been for his boys, he would have had a terrible life until now..But, then he might not have stayed with the ex for that long...Can't look back but the future sure looks good...Nick will be back in school and Stephan will be leaving for Texas, Jan. 2 and the next step of his future with the Air Force...
After Nick leaves, I'll visit with Jim and then back home or a stop at my sister's...Her grand daughter got married yesterday and she just might have left over cookies and stuff that needs taken care of....
You all have a great day............
Happy eating............

Good afternoon! We had thunderstorms in the night (1.6”) with lots of lightening and thunder. We had three dogs on the sofa with us before we went to bed. We had Odie in bed, Tinker Bell under, and Boomer beside in the chair when we went to bed. Today is beautiful—crisp and sunny! It’s definitely fall! Our leaves aren’t colorful this year—guess it’s just an off year.
The party was just so much fun! Every year I’m amazed at the creativity in the costumes at little expense. We had Klinger, Hot Lips and Hawkeye from M*A*S*H, most of the crew from The Office, Hans and Franz from SNL, two couples of lumberjacks, Bloody Kate Bender, Wilma and Fred Flintstone, and Bob Ross—complete with his squirrel in pocket accompanied by his canvas (his new wife). They were really cute! That’s just a few of the “guests” who showed up. Tina is supposed to post my Rosie the Riveter photo for me.
Irish—You are having lots of company! So much fun!!! Oh, I think you should stop and see your sister! She might have some goodies you can take to Jim, too. Does he still like his sweets? My DH never misses a dessert… which reminds me… I need to make something! So glad Terry is happy—sometimes it takes a long time to find the right partner!
We had taco soup last night, and I have leftovers, but I’m thinking it will be leftover steak, baked sweet potato, broccoli, salad and something for dessert that is TBA… maybe bread pudding with some raisins.
Bon appétit!
