SUPPER CLUB - Saturday, September 16

Post by purrfect-lady » Sat Sep 16, 2017 2:19 am

Good morning!

We made it through Jana's rain yesterday but not before I got Soaked while directing parking our RV. That is my job. We use hand held radios to give/get directions. By the time we were done I was soaked and my hair was a frizzy cloud around my face. Hope the rain is done for the week. The good news is that it keeps the dust down on the mountain trails while riding. The Bad news is there could be mud wallows on the mountain trails while riding.

After lunch we hit the new quilt shop. I found some 30s fabric I like because I somehow I found myself signing up for a second set of blocks in the 30s swap. I need to get A sample block made and a pic of it to Tina. I was handwashing fabric in kitchen sink yesterday afternoon. When the rain stopped I hung it from our trailer awning to dry in the breeze. Since my sister doesn't arrive here until afternoon I have time this morning to do a spot of sewing.

Jana, thanks for your offer of loaning me some tools. I do carry a few basic items with me at all times. I had to chuckle at my vision of you standing on the interstate ramp waving mats and rulers in the air as I passed by. LOL! I did see your Quilted Bear shop. Actually, I have been there before ! Would have loved to stop, but it was 7:30 in the morning.

Tina, sounds like you are going to have a very busy, family weekend. I know nobody's going to go hungry! Enjoy! dont wear out that baby's cheeks with all the kissing!!😘😘

Becca, are you feeling any effects of the latest hurricane? The last news I saw expected it to not make landfall but to stay in the Atlantic 🌬🌊

Last night, we grilled burgers and I sliced sweet potatoes and fried them with onions. Turned out delicious. Tonight, we think we will grill chicken, make Rice-A-Roni, and steamed broccoli. We might add a salad because we are going to do a little bit of grocery shopping today.

Good afternoon from warm, sometimes sunny, SW. Pa...Mr. Sun hasn't decided if he should stay or go back to bed, lol....

Mary, you gave me a giggle with your parking lot antics...And of course, now we all have that vision of Jana standing along the highway waving quilty things.....Hope you enjoy all those rides through the mountains, mud or no mud.....

Becca, thanks for holding my seat...I have no excuse from missing supper, none what so ever other than, not sure if I even turned on the computer....Thank goodness Irma didn't pay you a visit and hopefully, the next one will be happy to just go out to sea...This has been a crazy, terrible season...Still haven't talked to my friend in Ft. Myers but a friend in Naples lost both her porches and part of the roof...
Jim has been extra good and our visits are fun...Of course now, he expects me to bring a candy bar or 2 and some cookies and then he'll say, you know, you know my pants are getting tight, lol....

Today, Terry is coming down and we're going to pick up the china cabinet and then try to find a home for the entertainment center...Did have a scare yesterday...I've been complaining about my new meds and needed to have my BP checked..Well, the nurse called, I made an appointment for Monday but when I told her what was happening, the doctor called and wanted me to go to the ER! Heck, I didn't have time for that, I was going to lunch...So I told her I'd think about it and if I got worse, I'd go....We'll, I'm still here and now I'm dreading getting that call asking why I didn't go, lol....But, I think, we all know our body and I'm sure it's just the meds...I do have a PA next door and I'll have her check my BP...
I could always blame it on my sister..She took me to bingo the other night and I was a big winner, $11.00...Not sure if I'll go back, I told her bingo is for old people, lol....

As far as dinner, I might be able to talk Terry and his new wife into maybe ordering a pizza or picking up something so neither one of us has to cook...Me cook, not gonna happen.....

You all have a great day....

Happy eating...................

Good almost dinnertime!

Sarah's DH has a group of friends that play games, tbey call it geek night, so she and Ethan are coming over here to play in the Batt Cave in a few minutes. I picked up a piece of fabric, so I will do my peppermint candy skinnie and ready the scarecrow.

Matt helped Michael in getting some plywood for the railroad. I almost want to buy a bottle of seven up to break over the first cut on the construction of this rairoad. Michael would not appreciate the liquid on the plywood! LOL

So I have some bookkeeping to do first,
Hugs,
Jana
