We made it through Jana's rain yesterday but not before I got Soaked while directing parking our RV. That is my job. We use hand held radios to give/get directions. By the time we were done I was soaked and my hair was a frizzy cloud around my face. Hope the rain is done for the week. The good news is that it keeps the dust down on the mountain trails while riding. The Bad news is there could be mud wallows on the mountain trails while riding.
After lunch we hit the new quilt shop. I found some 30s fabric I like because I somehow I found myself signing up for a second set of blocks in the 30s swap. I need to get A sample block made and a pic of it to Tina. I was handwashing fabric in kitchen sink yesterday afternoon. When the rain stopped I hung it from our trailer awning to dry in the breeze. Since my sister doesn't arrive here until afternoon I have time this morning to do a spot of sewing.
Jana, thanks for your offer of loaning me some tools. I do carry a few basic items with me at all times. I had to chuckle at my vision of you standing on the interstate ramp waving mats and rulers in the air as I passed by. LOL! I did see your Quilted Bear shop. Actually, I have been there before ! Would have loved to stop, but it was 7:30 in the morning.
Tina, sounds like you are going to have a very busy, family weekend. I know nobody's going to go hungry! Enjoy! dont wear out that baby's cheeks with all the kissing!!
Becca, are you feeling any effects of the latest hurricane? The last news I saw expected it to not make landfall but to stay in the Atlantic π¬
Last night, we grilled burgers and I sliced sweet potatoes and fried them with onions. Turned out delicious. Tonight, we think we will grill chicken, make Rice-A-Roni, and steamed broccoli. We might add a salad because we are going to do a little bit of grocery shopping today.
