Psalm 69
All over the world victims cry out against injustice and discrimination. Ther are abused physically and subjected to economic deprivation. They are overwhelmed by a flood of ridicule and ostracism with no one to come to their defense and rescue them. They endure suffering because they are consumed by zeal for the Lord's house. Their lives are totally surrendered to advancing God's kingdom; they are obsessed with remaining faithful for the sake of His church. Their passion is not to be delivered or to be relieved of suffering, though they pay for it, that they would not deny their faith and bring shame to their witness.
I thought of the missionaries who have spent time in our home showing us their lifestyle and telling us of their mission: most without food, living in squander and with water up to their knees for the most part of the year. Tracking through this each day to spread the word of the One and True Savior Jesus Christ. And then I look at our own people too lazy to get up on Sunday and attend a church; too embarrassed to speak of the LORD; too lacking in reading God's word. What a true embarrassment we are as a nation to the LORD. Where are you in your walk with your Savior today?
Hugs prayers and God bless
