SUPPER CLUB - Wed, June 14th

Good morning!
Another pretty morning here! Overcast and cool, but the birds seem happy!
I am slowly working my way down our standard "things-do-do-before-leaving-on-a-trip" chore list. Today will be change the sheets, sweep, master bath. We will be hitting the road Friday morning. Our first two nights will be spent on BLM land (a big bar on the Oregon side of the Columbia River), then on to La Grande, Oregon where we'll park for two more nights at friends' house (she who had double lung transplant 5 years ago if you remember that), then next Tuesday into town to the RV park for 5 nights at our Rally.
Activities there are seminars on caring for your rig, Bingo, White Elephant, wine-tasting night, potlucks, campfires, happy hours, factory tours, sewing/crafting, nature hike, ATV rides, all the newest Arctic Fox RV's to tour (they bring them over from the factory), and catching up with old and new friends. This will be our 13th year going. On the way home next week we might camp along a river up in the Cascades for one or two nights but should be back by June 26th-ish. And yes, I'm taking ALL my fabric with me - just to keep it safe from marauding bands of quilters!
IRISH- welcome home!! So glad you had such a nice time! Will the boys be going to the same college in NC? Is Stephan also studying engineering? Every time the rerun of Big Bang Theory rolls around and the gang is building a robot and entering it into competition, I think of your Nick! We knew a couple once who had a very fluffy white cat. Because of the heat (they lived in Walla Walla, WA) they shaved her every summer. They didn't realize that animals' coats are their insulation against heat as well as cold. The cat got badly sunburned! How are you feeling now? Are you still having to use a cane?
BECCA - I'm so sorry about your DH's diagnosis? But there are some prosate cancers that are so slow moving, they aren't even treated. My uncle's was that way. And he died at 90 - of other causes. So I'm going to think positive thoughts and send them all your way! Is he looking forward to the big crowd celebrating Father's Day?
JANA - such wonderful lessons you teach your girls! Thank you's are, sadly, a diminishing art. Though I will say, last year we gave a gift to Bill's nephew at his wedding and we received TWO thank yous! On from the bride and one from the groom. I think they must have divided up the list and somehow our name got on both lists. Of course, this couple were in their 40's, old enough to still adhere to proper etiquette.
CHICKIE - glad you took a day off from the pollen. Would it help, do you think, if while outside weeding, you wore a surgical mask? It would cut down on what you inhale. It works for smog and volcano ash . . Some people here do it when pollen count is high. Your Tinkerbell is an awesome mix, whatever she is! She is a princess among hooligans!
VELDA - It seems you've had either bitter cold, flooding rains, or frying heat since you've been back from TX. Hoping you get some nice, sit outside and relax weather soon!
TINA - how is mom doing? and Dad? How about Maria and baby? And you?? So much going on in your world!
Supper tonite - I have a meatloaf in the freezer and potatoes bake. And lots of salad makings. We have two suppers before we leave so whatever I make, leftovers would be good and this will provide them.
Have you devised your plan yet for tonite?
