SUPPER CLUB - Friday, June 2nd
Good Morning!!
Well, our rainy day turned out nice after all yesterday. So about 3pm Bill got out the splitter and we started in on the wood project. I also cut back quite a bit of huckleberry brush that was leaning out into the driveway. It's starting to look pretty good around here now! I expect we'll be doing more wood today. Though I have chiropractor appointment this morning. He's not too crazy about me doing wood so I had to promise not to lift more than one piece at a time. No problem there!!
Yesterday morning I got that itch to clean and rearrange something so I took on my sewing room. It's a big deal to rearrange in there as it means unloading all the fabric, moving around the stacks of it, tugging shelving across the room, moving tables around. I spent about 4 hours doing that but it looks much better now. I think. I even had a little time to mess it up again with a new project!
BECCA - congrats on the boys!! I bet little Sophie will eventually come around, but I feel for her right now. Is she the oldest?
CHICKIE - the boys are so lucky to have such a great doggie-gramma! Plus, you get your exercise - for free! No gym dues for you!
TINA - oh, I love the name Franklin! I've only known two Franklins in my life - President Roosevelt and the little boy at summer camp in the Peanuts comic strip! Now there's your Frankie! SOO glad you are getting in some sewing days! ;o)
JANA - you know, people always talk about the 'good old days'. In the good old days, we had chamber pots for convenience. You could put one downstairs in your Batt Cave! And you have low windows for emptying ease! No more long stair climbs to the bathroom! I'm here for you, girlfriend!!
IRISH - how's it going? Did your Penguins win? I see you are going to have a sunny day, if not a hot one. Purrfect for planting those flowers & tomatoes.
LINDA - you must be busy helping hubby close up his office. But you need to eat, Hon!
Last night Bill was too tired to watch me cook, so he asked for the leftover pizza. So, since my pork chops are thawed, we will be having them for sure tonite. I like to season and brown them, then lay them atop sliced potatoes in a baking dish. I make a sauce of Cr Mushroom soup, milk, onion, pour over top, and bake them. usually turns out pretty tasty. Today, I think I'll use the crock pot.
What sounds tasty to you tonite? Subway has a new sandwich out that looks good. Just sayin' . . .

Good afternoon!
Quiet day around here. It looks like we will have dinner with the kids camping tonight. They are making a dutch oven dinner - one part I know is cordon blue. All my kids are there camping and will be back tomorrow afternoon.
Matt, with his new church calling is doing a service project at a girls camp near by where they are camping, so he will do that in the morning.
Sarah hauled up the utility trailer for Matt with all the pieces parts to the project. He prebuilt as much as he could here at home and will install it up there. It is a landing platform for a short zipline that the girls at camp can ride.
We are having another day of beautiful weather.
Mary - with those big trees, you should have a lifetime supply of wood! I love pork chops smothered in gravy!
Enjoy!
Jana

Re: SUPPER CLUB - Friday, June 2nd
I'm late again! I have no idea where the day went! It started out with a massage, I lie, it started out with me baking a pie for me to take to my massage girl and then my massage! She said she wanted to be my taste tester on an apple pie recipe I saw in Facebook, she said she loved it! Frankie had a dentist appointment while I had a massage, I'm sure you all prefer my day to his LOL. Then we went grocery shopping and looking for Zink for his pecan trees, after we got home and I put the groceries away I put my feet up and tried relaxing and then we went out to eat and then meat grocery shopping, I'm shopped out LOL I've made several quilts in my head today hehe
Mom is in a regular room now! Things are looking better!
Mary, Frankie is the only Franklin I personally know hehe. They made up a song with the 4 boys names. ... I'm thinking the 7 sisters made the song up LOL Frankie only remember that his name went with Frank Frank turned the crank LOL I don't know what Eddie, Ray and Joe did in that song LOL
It's a beautiful evening, I thought we were in for another storm but I guess it just missed us.
I finally found some lavender plants today, I've wanted some for years! I hope I can make them thrive!
I'm making, ruebens tomorrow, Kevin and Maria are coming over, Kevin is going to clean my pond and hopefully for the last time! I got some stuff that my brother started using lastyear on his pond and it's so much better now! I'm sure hoping this works for us too so I can actually see my fish and turtles. See Mary fish are calming to watch
