SUPPER CLUB - Thursday, June 1st

Good Morning!
Can you believe it's June already?? Maybe God is just tired of the World and is speeding up time so He can get it overwith! Because it does seem to be going faster and faster!
I didn't find my fabric yesterday at Joann's. It's been a staple there for years - a white TOT with a little 1" high Christian Cross on it. And I only need about 1/4 yard! Ratztlefratz!! But I did find another white TOT that sort of looks vintage and with my 60% off coupon they sent to my phone yesterday morning, I got 6 yards of that (all that was on the bolt) for $15. I also got my ironing all done and several little sewing tasks finished. As well as decisions made for our food contributions at our upcoming RV RAlly. Appetizers, potlucks, community breakfasts, etc., as well as a shopping list and a packing list. But I can't get into the trailer just now because 'someone' has it up on blocks, tires off, working on brakes. And he's waiting for parts. So all things trailer are on hold for now.
Today - still a mystery. It looks to be a rainy day so no weeding because I do worry so about melting. (hahahahaha!!) But I have enough uglies that are starting to rear their 'ugly' heads to keep me busy inside. And there's always sewing to be done! Bill has a Comcast guy coming by this morning because of an internet/modem problem so I better get out of my nightie pretty soon and into something more publicly presentable.
CHICKIE - weather changes quickly in your neck of the woods! Blackie and Lint think you are their playmate! I know Scottie thinks I'm his! When I was young and we bucket fed calves, the buckets were permanently fixed in place and Daddy poured the milk into them and stood outside the fence. He had no time for the fun and games you seem to be having with your babies! He missed a lot! lol!! Glad you are finally getting your "kitchen jewelry". For many years we didn't have handles on our cabinets and once we put them on, it was amazing how much cleaner the the cabinetry stays now!
TINA - happy to be getting good reports on your mom. and I love the name Matthew and it's nice they are continuing the family middle name as well. What is Frankie's real first name? Frank? Francis? Other? And does everyone call him Frankie or just you and all of us? Should Bill be calling him Frankie or Frank or Other when we visit?
BECCA - when they analyze DNA they don't usually use modern countries but "genetic regions". I am 8% Iberian Peninsula which is modern day Spain and Portugal but many of them migrated over Gibralter into France which might explain why my French grandmother looks so Spanish in her girlhood pictures. I find it fascinating!
IRISH - did you get your flowers and tomatoes planted? I planted very little this year compared to years past. I do have a couple of pepper plants on the railing of our deck, though. I saw Chickie got some and that sounded fun to me. I've never tried peppers before. Now I need to repot the into something bigger. It sounds as if you are getting some nice, quality time with Jim. Soak it up. And it's good to hear you are eating yourself! Can you have meals with him there if you choose? Not for free, I imagine.
JANA - I would love to use my Featherweight more but I just have no room to set it up. My sewing room is TINY and every surface is already spoken for. But I love owning it! Sorry to hear you may have Macular Degeneration in your future. Glad you are taking appropriate steps now to try to avert it.
LINDA - yoo hoo!! Supper's ready!!
Supper - I always come to this part of my post with big question mark in my mind. I think I'll make pork chops and scalloped potatoes. It's a cool, rainy day and comfort food is called for here. I hope you can come up with a good supper plan, too!
