Psalm 57
How does one keep a steadfast heart and stay focused on God's grace and loving kindness when encountering the treachery of attacks and deceit?
By praising the Lord and focusing on His glory. WE are told in Colossians 3:2 "Set your mind on the things above, not on the things that are on earth." Instead of being distracted by all we encounter in the world, be reminded that God is exalted above the heavens, and His glory is over all the earth. One takes refuge in Him by standing firm in His mercy and truth. An attitude that puts everything in proper perspective is and attitude of praise.

Begin each day by "awakening the dawn" v8 with a heart of praise giving glory to God.

Another key to keeping one's heart steadfast is to be proactive in serving the Lord, witnessing and being engaged in His mission. Wehn we are "giving thanks among the peoples" and "praising Him among the nations" v9 we are not dwelling on ourselves and our own troubles and afflictions. God has been gracious to us not for our own benefit but for His glory and that we might be faithful in fulfilling His mission.

Hugs prayers and God bless
Izzy

It is written in scripture by God, "This is my work and my glory, to bring to pass the imortality and eternal life of man". It is our work to live by faith, trusting in Him, showing a believing heart and a contrite spirt. Start each day with heartful prayer, being grateful for all He gives us. Even trials and afflictions will work to be blessings for us. As we face opposition, our fath and trust in Him stenghtens. We lay up our "affections", as stated in Colossians 3:2, where moth and dust cannot corrupt.

The blessings we receive here are but a miniscule amount of what awaits us. He has promised us, "all that the Father hath". WOW!
