Psalm 49

We must never forget the costly price of redemption. God, Himself had to become a man and die; He had to suffer the rejection of men and the cruel brutality and shame of the cross to pay the penalty for our sins. It was the the shed blood of the sinless Son of God that purchased our redemption, not anything that we have done. And because of our faith and confidence in what Christ has done for us, when we die, our spirits do not go to some nebulous netherworld {Sheol}, but God will receive us. He is our security and our hope.

This life is relatively short. How foolish for people to give themselves entirely to temporal values and worldly accomplishments. We should not be jealous of those with wealth or status, nor should we be alarmed when we go through times of adversity or suffer because of the iniquity and evil intent of others. We need to heed the wisdom God gives us and gain the understanding that we can see all that is in this life from His perspective.

Hugs prayers and God bless
Izzy

Izzy Our salvation comes only thru Christ shed blood & the great price he paid for us.
It's hard for us to understand that kind of love. But we must trust & ask for forgiveness.
Earthly riches will all pass away. .Its the riches waiting on us that counts. Becca

Amen Amen to the above. We must trust and ask for forgiveness daily and it is so easy to say or do something not right toward others. We all have those challenges in our lives.

I try hard to do what is right and don't make the mark. So this is a good reminder to us all.

Have a blessed day and blessings to you as you are a blessing to all of us.

What blessings come to us in our lives when we learn and use what Christ gives to us. We are His, he paid the price. We were purchased with His blood and life. All He he has to give to us, is predicated on such little from us - trust in Him, follow in His footsteps and obey the commandments laid out for us. He is there, every step of the way, if we but open the door and let Him in.

I am late today as I attended the funeral service for my nephew. I am sad at losing this young man, but my heart aches for my extended family. There are three generations that have lost the light of the gospel that was taught to them. It was so evident as I sat there and saw their grief, with no understanding of what the Plan of Salvation gives to each and everyone of us who comes to live on this earth. The blessings that Christ offers.

How easy it is to loose our way and step from the straight and narrow way. I am grateful for my knowledge and understanding, although it is just a drop in the bucket, it is my strength and my joy.

Thanks for letting me vent,
Jana
