SUPPER CLUB - Sunday, May 7th

Good Morning,
I don't think we have a thing on our calendar today so yay for me! I'm going to clean our bedroom/bathroom and then I'll be DONE with the house! This is better-than-usual-clean, not necessarily white-glove-clean. But good enough for who it's for. I also hope to get one last 6" FGV block finished and then I can start putting it all together. Any time left will be to put some things away in the trailer that I've come across in my cleaning frenzy through the house.
I received an update on Irish. Because of her injury she is using a walker. The medical doctors weren't too impressed with the injury so her sister took her to her own chiropractor who confirmed that she has some torn tendons (climbing in second story windows, over to sewing machines, and slithering to the floor can do that to a person.) He does think she's worth saving, however, gave her a brace to wear, and she will start chiropractic treatments soon, if not already. He also said her nerve attachments were all messed up so he will work on those, too. Her family is all there and some decisions were made. Jim was moved to a memory care facility, at least for now while she recuperates. She admitted that it could be permanent, she didn't know. And she is really struggling with this. I think they were teens when they first met so they'v been together a very long time. It's hard. But he's getting the care he needs, she is on the road to recovery, and her family is with her. Things will smooth out for her.
JANA - I love the way your aunt thought! A garage sewing studio for her and her friends! I bet she was a fun lady. Funny, but when you described your new machine to me, Ruby is what came immediately to my mind! There are RV Bootcamp schools for new RV owners. They teach you lots of things about RV travel, camping, care, living, but most importantly, they teach you how to back and to park. We use little 2-way radios and I guide him as he backs up. And we have devised hand signals that we both understand. The first time we had to back a trailer into a site (and is was a very easy site to get into) other campers gave up trying to be discreet about watching our struggles and finally got out their chairs and coffee cups to watch the show. After Bill had to take it around the loop a second time to realign we finally got it in and we got a round of good-natured applause and we took a bow.
BECCA - I still have my wedding gown, too. In an acid-free box shoved under my bed. Autumn wore it when she got married so I thought I'd be getting rid of it! But no. She asked me to take it to the dry-cleaners for her after her wedding and they boxed it in a huge box. It's like putting a table runner in a king quilt box! And, you guessed it - I'm still storing it only in a much larger box now! I sleep on it every night.
LINDA - any pet we have now has to be able to go in the fifth-wheel. I'm thinking Speedy might not like the RV life. Sorry. Guess for his sake, we'll have to take a pass. I think Chriss's dad has a big turtle like Speedy. You two should talk. Maybe get the turtles together for a play date . .
And now for supper. My hubby bought a bunch of Italian sausages for a big group camping trip in March that never happened due to terrible weather. So he froze several packages and I think I'll thaw one of those and make eggs and hashbrowns to go with. Though he always reserves the right to change my mind before day's end.
What's for Sunday dinner at your house?
