Good morning!

We are headed for home today. Yay!! Love getting away but love going home even more! Just dread the "neighborly" welcome we know we'll be receiving. But hopefully the investigation we launched yesterday with elder protective services will eventually resolve that.

We will stop halfway home and visit my brother, Al,. He has a new John Deere that bill is anxious to meet!

This is short. Typing on tiny phone keyboard tedious and the dictation feature doesn't work here deep in this Canyon

Tina, so happy your stone has passed! May it be the last one ever!!

Supper tonite is all planned - leftover rice-a-roni, salad, and grilled chicken. And fresh raw veggies to snack on.

Tell us what you're having.

Good morning from a very dreary, stormy, SW. Pa...Not as warm as it has been and with the dreariness, makes it down right chilly.....A good day for staying inside and curling up with a book, darn, I wish I had a fireplace!

Mary, Just hoping and praying things will be taken care of back on the home front..And, you have to remember, you're not doing anything that shouldn't have been done before and you are really looking out for Vickie's welfare...AND if she "knew", she would agree...What is it with men and their toys? Do you think Bill might want a new Deere in his future?

Tina, so glad to hear that "unwanted guest" has gone on it's way..Hope you're feeling much, much better...How is the house hunting coming along...Every once in awhile, I watch that program on TV and I just laugh when these young couples say they have a budget of quite a few thousands and then when they find that house, they "have" to gut this and gut that...Our 1st house cost $7000 and we thought that was a fortune, lol....

Becca, Hope things are going smoothly in your neck of the woods...Was wondering how the twin's household is going having both babies home...Just a bit hectic I would think but a good hectic....

Chickie, and talking about hectic, you I think win the prize...You would make a good cover and article for that magazine, Country Woman...

Well, it sure isn't hectic about here, neither one of us is moving too fast....Jim has staked out a spot on the couch and is taking a nap and me, the leg is really bothering me...Finally, saw the doc yesterday and now am on steroids and from there, who knows...Guess I won't be doing any more "two story gigs" for awhile...Terry will be here tomorrow and/or Sunday and said to make him a list (Oh boy, what a list)....
But, the excitement, we pulled into the doc's parking lot and had to sit in the car, it was storming so badly..Then when we tried to go in the office, it was flooded, so we waited some more...I don't ever remember it raining so hard...The whole way home, trees were down, roads were covered with mud and some washed out...Limbs from the tree next door had fallen beside the neighbor's cars and then looking up in the yard, most of a 60' pine tree had fallen on their garage and went through the roof...And to boot, these neighbors are on vacation and I'm not sure when they'll be home...The water must have come down over the hill and of course onto out patio along with dirt from my flower beds....What a mess! But, better days ahead, I'm sure....I just feel so bad for the neighbors, coming home to this....

Well, enough of my bad news, has to be something good happening, right? Well, our Penguins won last night in the 1st round of the hockey play offs and now will be going on....Watching hockey and trying to cross stitch does get interesting, to say the least, lol....

And for our dinner, seems like a soup day to me....Not sure what kind but we need something to warm the tummies..(or at least I do)....

You all have a great day....

Happy eating..............

I just had to add...
Mary, maybe it would be a good idea for you and Bill to get in touch with the police right before you get home and have them at the house, just in case....You just never know what might happen when she sees you pull in.....Be safe!

Rain, rain, rain! Forecast for all day today and much of tomorrow. Sure is sloppy feeding the calves, not to mention I’m soaked each time I go out. The temperature is to be in the 50s, too… what’s up with that???

DD, DSIL and DGD stopped by last evening on their way home from a track meet. Tasha had placed in all her heats—hurdles, 100 meter dash, 200x4 relay. So proud of her! This is the first time she’s ever gone out for track.

Mary—be safe traveling! Guys like tractors! Good luck at home, too. I think you are doing the right thing in calling the EPS and documenting everything that happens. Such a sad situation, but she needs saved from herself.

This is short, too. I’m started quilting on a special project and want to work on it as much as possible. I love the rain for that reason. We had two new calves yesterday morning—all parties are doing well! (No more adoptees for now, thankfully!)

Dinner tonight… I think I can parlay the beef tips and rice from last evening into a dinner for DH. I’m thinking as chilly as it’s to be today that I’ll enjoy a can ‘o soup. If I feel like it, I might tweak it with additions… we’ll see… It’s mushroom bisque, and I might sauté some fresh mushrooms and add to it. I have some croutons. I’m sure I won’t starve. There is ice cream for afters.

Bon appétit!

Hi y'all!

We have to run down to Michael's doctor's office. They changed a med and we were to watch Michael's BP. Well, it changed, the spread between both numbers is to much. Probably back to the old med.

Matt may come over today. He has Fridays off - works a 4 - 10 week.

Later i will start quilting my very old UFO.

Dinner - will be banned with a salad and rice pilaf.

See ya later,
Enjoy,
Jana
