Good RAINY morning!

After such a nice day yesterday, too. No outside work today! I have an early massage appointment so I'll lay low the rest of the day. I have a book I want to finish so I can pass it on and some detailed grocery lists to make for Fred Meyer (our Kroger-owned grocery) and for Costco. and then to figure out something small and simple to put in trailer for a sewing project. Not sure I'll be sewing at all since we'll be with friends, tasting wine by day and drinking it by night. but maybe . . . . Oh, and I also have one load of wash to toss in. Didn't quite get it all done yesterday since I went outside for a few hours and forgot all about the clothes.

TINA - HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!! how many years? And what day? We always celebrate just by being together. My parents always took a 'ride' - the entertainment of their day. Packed a picnic and went over the mountain passes or around the Olympic Loop or wherever they took a whim. I have some deer fabric - tell me what you need. I share. I may have a bit of little boy fireman fabric, too.

CHICKIE - happy to hear P.Lint is doing so well and that Black is improving. Sorry about the lingering 'issues' though. Our vet refers to that as "soft serve". Sounds like you had the right celebration for National Pet Day yesterday! lol! But do you really think it was good form to mention 'steaks for dinner' in the same paragraph? I mean, really!

BECCA - you did have a busy errand day! Did you discover any treasures at the thrift shop? Glad you found the phone. I lost mine out of my pocket once. My sister used to be the campground host at the Boulder County Fairgrounds in Longmont, CO. and she and I were driving around the fairgrounds in our ATV. got back to the RV and my phone was gone. We got in the buggy and retraced our route, scanning the ground. And found it!! In three pieces. But I put them together and 2 minutes later Bill called me! It worked! Whew!!

I'm trying to think of what we have in the freezer for supper. Seasoned chicken breasts from Costco, I know, so maybe I'll roast those with some carrots and potatoes. We'll see what it all morphs into by suppertime!

Have you got a plan yet?

Good morning, no plans yet but had leftover BBQ last night. Rod is back judging BBQ contests. He was a table captain instead of a judge this time so lady fixed him a big box filled with ribs and various types of meat that were being judged. Sent some dessert stuff home with him too. Been eating too good for a few days. Sure saves on the groc bill tho.

Need to hit Costco and maybe Menards today. Want to look at some plants, need catfood from Menards, and want to get some paint chips and ideas from Menards. Cheap place for catfood and birdseed too. Just saw some of the plants a few wks ago, but lady just putting them out. Must hit Costco around noon so can eat our way thru with all the samples. LOL

Rod is at VA ordering his new glasses. Eye apptmt showed his current glasses are too strong and causing his blurriness. Must have had an allergy or something when tested last time. He has dry eye problems and they gave him a gel like eye drop that has made a big difference.

Need to get busy before he gets back. You all have a great day. Hope you can get outside and enjoy Springtime, it is BACK into our lives. So pretty to see blue skies and popping out leaves and bushes and trees blooming. God's world is in order according to HIS plan, and it is springtime once again.

God bless you all today and all your tomorrows. Get out and smell the flowers and and rejoice in the day. Shirley Mae

Good morning!

Still putting off that dreaded task of inventory! We have plenty to eat, just need to really think about to put together. Michael is really good about dibs and dabs for dinner - but its getting low around here!

Mary - the older car is my 2000 Solara, a 2 door Camry. She passed all the tests. They also still have the Tacoma truck, it's a 2002 and we will get it back this morning. We have had many tell us, when we want to sell them, they want to buy them. But i am not ready to get rid of either one yet. 3 cars, 2 drivers!

So it's time to go get the truck,

Happy anniversary Tina!

Enjoy,
Jana

Hi all :) I don't know where my day went! It was a beautiful day here and we were all outside this morning and by 10 it was too hot and the boys were ready to come inside. I've been doing laundry off and on all day, kept having to do other things, I'm still working on it but the bed is all pot back together and the quilt smells so fresh from hanging outside :)
Tomorrow is our 32nd anniversary :) We mostly just spend time together too. Frankie takes the week of it off just so we can spend extra time with each other. We did go somewhere for our 20th and 25th. We're hoping to drive up to Ruidoso in May to see the Hondo Iris Garden and enjoy the day and the drive :) Well eat out tomorrow :) and then there's no school Friday and we have the whole day together :)
We had burgers on the grill tonight.
