Daily devotion april 12

Psalm 37:10-40

We are reminded of how God considers the righteous in contrast to the wicked, and the outcome of each course of life is clearly portrayed. The wicked, or simply those who do not respect God and acknowledge His lordship in their lives, will one day be cut off and cease to exist. In fact, God laughs at their arrogance and pride for He knows what is coming. Their derision and condescending attitudes toward the righteous will be the sword that will pierce their own heart in judgment. They will one day vanish like smoke.

The admonition is to depart from evil, avoid it, and do good. Assurance is given that the Lord is just, and those who belong to Him are faithful will be preserved forever. but it is not only a future inheritance; as we go through this life God gives us wisdom and discernment to speak justice. The law of God is not just a guide for our actions; it is planted firmly within our hearts. It shapes our values and is the compelling motive for our behavior. Therefore, our steps do not slip.

Our salvation is from the LORD. If we wait for the LORD, and our hope is in Him, even in the midst of the wicked asserting themselves all around us, He will deliver us. He assures us of prosperity when we take refuge in Him and walk in the way He has set for us.

Hugs Prayers and God Bless

What a reassuring message of Hope this is. With Easter this week it's another time for believers to rejoice knowing God took upon himself to make a way for us to be a part of Gods family. Our lives are ordered by God. Becca

Izzy, thank you each day for thought provoking words from the Bible and the pics with them. This reminded me of "Footprints in the sand", how God carries us when we can no longer walk on our own.

Becca, Easter is indeed a time of rejoicing. God has a plan in all our lives and we need to rejoice each day.

A few days ago, as I was flipping channels, I came across a preacher discussing the actual day of the week that Christ died on the cross. I stopped on that channel to see what he was talking about. He spent the entire sermon, arguing with himself I guess, over the day of the week rather than the joy of the event. I was saddened to think that he missed an opportunity to talk about Christ's death and resurrection but chose instead the day of the week he died.

I had never seen that preacher before but hope future sermons will dwell on the true meaning of Easter not the date or the egg hunts and spring clothes etc.

God bless you all this week as we anticipate the rejoicing of Easter morning. Happy Easter. HE is risen indeed.

Hugs and love, Shirley Mae

There is so much joy in walking in the footsteps of the Lord. That path is laid before us, straight, but narrow. He tells us each blessing we will receive when we obey. We know beforehand what is there for us.

1 Cor 2:9-10 Paul writes, eye has not seen, nor ear heard - oh what the Lord has in store for those who follow His teachings and love God.
