Good morning!

We have a lot of singing birds this morning! And it's supposed to be a nice day. I night do some yard work. But first - we have dental appointments. Ugh. Just cleanings, but I always wonder what they night find.

Bill mowed yesterday! Yay!! At least half of the grass. But he had to move about half-dozen big planters first that Vicki had moved back to our property after her kids moved it all away. That's OK. It doesn't hurt anything. We'll just keep moving it whenever we need to access to those parts of our yard. I'm not sure why she thinks our cement parking pad/approach to our shop where we park the tractor, ATV, and truck, are hers but her mind is working in strange ways the past few months.

As for my 'cleaning frenzy' - don't get too excited as it only lasted about 3 hours. maybe next week I'll clean something else. lol!!

JANA - glad Gracie is improving. And great that both of her parents are trained for such emergencies! congrats to Kate on getting to sing the national anthem at the BB game ON HER BIRTHDAY! What a special day for her! And your other kids are going to upstate NY and PA?? Thats' where my grandpa came from and all of his family are still back there. It was a BIG family so if she runs into any Austins, they are probably my cousins.

TINA - have you got that new baby quilt made yet? lol!

IRiSH - what you said is EXACTLY what Bill and I keep saying - 'wish we could see into Vicki's brain to know what she is thinking', cuz it sure aint' what we're thinking! So are you using DMC floss? Tell me what colors it is that you need. I have them all and they aren't getting any younger sitting in my embroidery closet. I'll send them to you.

BECCA - I'm so sorry the glasses won't do you any good. But sounds like you can still drive, right? My Bill has been legally blind in his right eye since he was 1 yr old. He sees better than I do! I hope things will gradually improve for you.

CHICKIE - you and your babies!! I hope Blackie has no more "issues". I know how active calves can be when they are nursing and you can get tossed around a bit. Don't want you slipping into any "issues"!

Supper tonite is a no-brainer. Really. We don't eat brains here. hahahaha! Early morning humor. Sad that it doesn't get any better as the day wears on. Anyhoo - LEFTOVERS! We have one serving each of the chicken stroganoff and the stir-fried veggies and rice. And enough lettuce and veggies for one more evening of salads. I think tomorrow will see us in the grocery store/Costco.

What's for supper at your house?

Good morning :)
Vicki didn't take long to redecorate your property, you're a caller person than me :) I have the pattern and need to see if I have any deer fabric, I don't think I do though. We had a girl pattern picked out and I had the fabric for that but not for boys. ...I keep using boy fabric for these 2 here LOL good thing though is the not pattern looks fast and easier. :)
I'm putting a roast in the crock pot today with all the trimmings for supper. Frankie is of this weekend for our anniversary which is Thursday, he always takes the whole week off so we can do things but this year we're not going anywhere, just doing yard work and he's working on his garden :)

Good morning! Lots of birds singing here, although it’s cooler than yesterday. Yesterday was just about perfect—74 degrees and little wind! Today the hooligans and I will be seeing Ava, and of course all the calf feeding. They were ready this morning as I was late by half an hour because I flat overslept. No excuses.

Mary—maybe I should take those big planters off your hands so you don’t have to move them all the time. When I lived in Missouri, I did mostly container gardening to protect my plants from three deadly weed eaters and three plant gobbling lawn mowers. That man could whip the bark off mature trees and kill them, so you know how plants and shrubs fared. I don’t worry too much now… DH isn’t into mowing that often, and we garden “wild look”… lots of Queen Anne’s lace and wildflowers… and weeds!

Jana—Murphy meddles in everything from quilting to cooking to everything else around here! I really like my laser printer! Now I want a color one with wireless capabilities. Never enough!!! I’m having Easter brunch here for the tribe. The trip sounds fun! Poor little Gracie! So glad she’s doing better!!! It’s nice here that we have 2 sons and grandson that are paramedic, EMT, first responder so I can call any time! I really miss seeing cabooses on the end of trains! That blinking red light or an engine going the wrong way just isn’t the same!!!

Becca—so sorry your eye appointment wasn’t the news you wanted. My mother has only had one eye that can be corrected for most all of her adult life.

Irish—we think both calves are seeing… Lint is doing great, and Blackie is gaining each day. Lint is quite rambunctious! I may be feeding through the fence before long… not sure I want to be on my rear or worse! I can’t believe how many colors cross stitch patterns require. I used to have almost all the colors, then they change brands for some designers… Aaak! Sometimes they did a substitute chart for other brands, and that was always helpful. I made some that used one strand of one color and one of another in the same stitch!

Ha, ha—Blackie is still having some issues out her rear, but I’m giving the pills twice a day as prescribed, so she should be tightening up soon. You’re right, I do slip and slide sometimes in those “issues”! I had to grab the fence to stay vertical between that and Pocket Lint’s butting. I’m not complaining—still having fun!!!

Tina—happy anniversary week!!! That’s a neat way to celebrate with time off to spend together… gardening, vacationing, whatever—it’s the time together that is important! I wish I had boy fabric to send you!

Dinner… hummm… oh, yeah! There is steak (for DH) left from last evening and roasted asparagus and potatoes. A salad will top it off. I have pineapple for afters (with a slab of cake for DH).

Bon appétit!

Hello everyone, sunny & quite warm here at 83. I forgot to mention this AM that fires are being set again. We had 3 yesterday & they are still burning.I saw the smoke on the way home from town.Of course they are out in our area bec we live close to Lots of forest service property.Wish they could catch all them & throw away the keys.

Yes Maryz I'm grateful for my vision .lotts of people see with 1 eye.Yes I can drive.Would have to move or depend on transit if I can't.Dont want to do either one.
Glad you're so patient with Vicky.-Afraid most wouldn't be.

Chickie Do hope Blackie settles down & is ok.We Know you love your life on the farm.Hard to imagine you a city girl. You did a complete turn around. We love you whatever you are.

Tina Wish I had lots of boy fabric to send you.But afraid here I use it all for baby quilts.
Glad you & DH have time off.Enjoy it.

You wouldn't believe my day.We went to take baby quilts to ship at UPS.After that pick up prescription for DHs med then get it filled.Went to eat at Gazebo. After we get home he misses his phone. You guessed it .It fell on the floor out of his pants pocket on side of pants. We called & someone had turned it in.I fly back to town.Decided to go to Thrift shop then get groceries. To make the drive worthwhile.UGH

So no cooking here.I had Greek salad with enough for another meal.DH had BLT with chips & turtle cheesecake. Becca
