SUPPER CLUB - Thursday, April 6th

Good morning!
We are rainy, chilly, and windy this morning so it's going to be another indoor day. I see some uglies that SHOULD get some attention, but probably won't. And I have sewing projects sitting hopefully in my playroom. And I REALLY need to go do some undie/bra shopping. So we'll see how my day turns out!
BECCA - glad you got those cookies made! Your oatmeal raisin? We use Craisins instead of raisins. We think they have a little more zip. I also use a heavy hand on cinnamon and cloves.
VELDA - so nice of you to join us at the table! you sound happy to be back home again. And soon you'll be seeing your son and family! How are they doing? Guess you'll know after you visit them. I hope your tulips wait for you to come back!
CHICKIE - I'm still smiling at your vision! lol! You know, I've seen photos of Eleanor attired in almost identical fashion! So, you go, Girl!! Hug all your babies for me!
TINA - any chance of Holly buying the house she is now renting? Maybe she could buy a mobile and set it up on the property your parents bought but will probably never move to . . . Whatever she does, I hope she keeps it in HER name since she will be the one making the payments. My nephew bought property with his girlfriend years ago and when they broke up it was a nightmare dealing with that property. He lost his shirt on it. Too bad there is no daycare at Holly's school. Wouldn't that be purrfect for a lot of the young teachers!
IRISH - you really have your hands full! (((hug!))) You know, they make straps (hate to call them leashes but that's what they really are) for toddlers so they can't wander. Would that be something you could consider with Jim? Or handcuffs? ;o) You must get nervous every time you have to take him out for errands. I use silk flowers on my parents' and grandparents' graves. Also my husbands' but that cemetery removes everything for mowing once a week, so I don't invest a lot there.
JANA - I'd hire that little Ethan in a heartbeat, but he'd have quite a commute to work here! lol! Good luck at the dentist. Hope it's nothing too traumatic. My appointment next Tuesday. Hate going, but hate worse not going.
Thank you all for prayers for the "Vicki Situation". We've often wondered what would happen to her when she reached this stage of her disease. So far as we can see, nothing is happening, but we are hoping that the kids are taking this week to work on a plan. The garbage she is tossing into her backyard is drawing rodents and now we are seeing mice here. UGHH! Bill says if it gets much worse, he'll call the county health department. Though, on the plus side, the cats are happy!
So, we've talked about my cats' dinner, now let's talk about ours. Our freezer is full of lots of everything. I think I might bake some pork chops and sweet potatoes, with my last jar of homemade applesauce and a spinach salad. I might even thaw the chops in the micro and put them into the crockpot so we can smell them all day long.
What sounds good to you?
