SUPPER CLUB - Sat. March 11th
Posted: Sat Mar 11, 2017 2:54 am
Good morning!
I woke up early this morning - 4:15 - and my back didn't want to stay in bed any longer. I even beat the purr-babies up, though they still beat me to their food dish. All they get is a teaspoon of wet food but you'd think they were starving alley cats and didn't have a big bowl of kitty kibble setting out at all times!
I finished quilting and binding my cat swap quilt yesterday (I did two sets of blocks so there is another quilt to go yet.) but everything that could go wrong, did. The result is a very sloppy, embarrassing job. But it will be good enough for picnics, the deck, or the trunk of the car at least. I hope I've worked out all my quilty bugs now that the Lone Star is ready to go on. But not sure that will happen today though as I am going to my semi-annual former co-worker luncheon in Tacoma and Bill is going 45 miles north to Renton to buy a set of tires he found on Craig's List. I wanted to ride along as my son, Mike, lives in Renton but Mike won't be home anyway, so I kept my lunch plans intact.
IRISH - sorry about the snow. I imagine by March it has lost it's lusterous appeal. (is lusterous a word?) Our news last night showed a robotics competition in Seattle. I couldn't help but think of your Nick and told Bill about him. Is he still interested in cooking? And just where are you going on Monday when you go 'out'? Please say it's something fun and relaxing and not for a root canal. Might I suggest a massage?
BECCA - I saw where you finished quilting Baby Girl's quilt and now you are on to bindings! Way to flash that needle! I'm assuming the babies are still all tucked up nice and warm. Have any name ideas drifted down to you yet? There are some interesting and unique names in your family (and I love them all!) and I can't wait to hear what the twins will be called.
JANA - only 10 more days! Has Kate heard yet about her audition? Sorry you caught the cleaning bug. It's a bugger! I got over mine quickly!
CHICKIE - how is your bucket baby? And please only tell me things you know I want to hear. . . No way to talk mom into taking it back? Poor little thing. Boy or girl?
Today, since I'll be going out to lunch and DH might grab a burger on the run, we probably won't be too hungry come supper time. I bought some sliced ham and put it with the leftover scalloped potatoes last night and there's STILL some left so we might share the last of that and a salad. Otherwise, it's going to be oatmeal here! and he vill love it . . .
What's for dinner at your house tonite?
