SUPPER CLUB - Thursday, March 9th

Good Morning!
I think the rain is starting to let up some here and the temps are going up. In a few days we're to be almost 60*!! But we have a wind storm predicted for today that we have to get through. I was able to get the rest of the rhodies, lilacs, and forsythia fertilized yesterday afternoon. As I walked around the yard I see so much that needs to be done. But no sense trying to do anything until after the winds die down.
Our neighbor, Vicki, is still waging the property battle. She still has the lawn littered everything she can manage to tote out of her garage. And she sits outside, smoking, and stares at us. She just recently took up smoking. Not sure why. She also is still dumping rotten food. We lost Scottie yesterday for a while and searched all over for him. he was in the far corner of Vicki's yard gulping down whatever it is she is throwing out. Mice and rats are now coming for the buffet, too. hope our cats can keep up!
My Lone Star is finally ready, top and back, for the long arm. Now I just need to get the frame freed up. It is occupied at the moment.
BECCA - I see your twins are still hanging in there with mom. Good! Every hour counts! The smallest baby I took care of in the NICU was one pound, zero ounces at birth (at 24 weeks). And he lost 5 oz after birth! But he survived and did very well. Your babies are much older than that!
IRISH - guess between you and CHICKIE I won't be complaining about our 35 mph gusts of wind. But it's a big deal to me! Let us know how your sister does today. Wish you could be with her but I know you are needed right where you are. Hope the passport process goes quickly and smoothly for you. How is Jim in waiting rooms? Does he read much?
CAROLE with an e - we are always happy to have you at the table! I'm not sure what you are monitoring. It looks like part of your post got lost? But I'm glad you'll be done for the year, whatever it is! Hope your next week is calmer. I feel like if I have to go to the grocery store my day is shot! lol!
CHICKIE - I bet our friend would love to see photos of your sister's work. It sounds beautiful! Glad you were on scene to help the lady that fell at your meeting. Sorry about your dishtowel though. I'm sure there was no saving it after that! I used towels for a big gash in Bill's head one time. The towels didn't make it. What good luck about the goodies from the meeting! Now you are set for a while! Did you sew yesterday?
JANA - thanks for that recipe! It sounds great! I plan to try it right after my next grocery shopping trip. I make that white sauce with Dijon for a lot of things but never added the lemon juice before. I will try that. And I love snickerdoodle muffins! Wish one would have blown my way in that west wind we were imagining!
TINA - my mom had restless leg syndrome back in the days before it had a name or any meds. I hope yours is just a temporary thing. I have one last International Sue to stitch down and I should have them all finished unless more sign up at the last minute. Do you think you'll be hosting "ISBS Take 3" later in the year? If not, I may plan to gradually finish up the rest of the Sues on my own. I think there are 15 countries left.
CAROL - I know you're out there and probably too busy to stop by. But your place at the table is all set if you do!
Supper tonite - hmmmm.... I'd like to try Jana's recipe but don't have all the ingredients so that will have to wait. (but not for long!) Maybe pork chops and scalloped potatoes with asparagus. That sounds good to me, but will wait for Bill to give his stamp of approval before I start thawing anything.
What's on your menu for tonite?
