SUPPER CLUB - Tuesday, March 7th

Good Morning!
We are still in the mid-30's here and very drippy. had some snow flurries throughout the day. Pretty to watch, but nothing stuck. The rumor is that, while the drippiness will continue, we will be warming up about 10*. That would be nice because usually we're in the mid-50's by now!
Yesterday I finished my Lone Star quilt top. Whew! Easier and faster than I expected it would go, but now I have to piece the back as Bill - yes, Bill - found and bought a 2-1/2' x 4' panel for the back and four special purchased blocks (scenes of Texas animal life). So now to figure out how to put this all together.
BECCA - we are all anxious, I am sure, for an update on your twins. Praying for them! But in this day and age, 30-weekers really do have an excellent chance of surviving. When I was working, we usually gave parents a going-home date about the same as the natural delivery date would have been, though most babies that did well went home sooner than that.
CHICKIE - I never thought about how marbles get made! Cool! I don't understand your statement about your SIL doing 4 generations of baby clothes and entering them in an art show. What did she do with them? I don't think our friend has a website yet. He's trying to get an inventory built up as well as get his stuff into art galleries. The domestic difficulties he is having are getting in the way.
VELDA - I've tried keeping journals, too. I've given up on that though I do keep a travel journal whenever we are on the road. It's not very detailed (or very interesting) but I'm pretty faithful about it. At the very least I get every fill up recorded and work out the mileage!
IRISH - I wonder what that remodel guy is doing that it's taking so long to remodel a bathroom. Hmmm .... Nick keeps on keeping on with his robots, doesn't he! One day he's going to take the prize! I hope he gets a scholarship and I hope it's to Pittsburg U! Love your eagle lessons! Thank you! Though "E9" just doesn't have much ring to it. Maybe we should name him "Elvis Niner".
TINA - your mom loves you, but she's an angry person and you're just her target. My dad was like that, too. Though, admittedly, not to the degree your mom is. I think by staying away from her, you are doing the best thing you can for yourself and your family and even for her. But I know it hurts your heart. And when it does, snuggle your babies and know you'll never be like that to them because your nature is sweet and loving.
JANA - we'll be looking for that recipe when you get time! Sounds like the Chix condon bleu recipe will be good, too!
Well, as usual, I took a cup of chopped, cooked chicken and turned it into 2 gallons of casserole! So, we'll be eating that again tonite. And probably the next night. and maybe for breakfast . .
Anyone for casserole?
