Good Morning!
Yesterday I made good progress on my Lone Star. I have the 8 big diamonds finished and gently pressed. Today I will try to fit them all together so they will lay flat. That and the Y-seams are the tricky parts. And they always trick me! Yesterday I also got started on quilting one of my cat quilts. Today I'll continue with those two projects.
Last night at our friends' happy hour party (which stretched from 6:30 to 9:30) was nice. In the past month this couple has separated 3 times and each time gotten back together after about 10 days. Right now they are together again so both were there. Slightly awkward as she has never liked us or the third couple that was there and she's not really liking her husband at the moment either. I felt we were in good company! But still, we had a good time. His art is amazing and we were surrounded by it. I hope they work things out so he won't lose his studio.
CAROL - what are you working on in your knitting group? I can crochet, though not well enough to make anything useful, and when I was about 10 I learned the basic knit/pearl of knitting, but that's all. I've tried twice to re-learn it as an adult and just don't seem able to get the hang of it. So I finally gave away all my needles and patterns. I actually had quite a collection for someone who has never knitted! If I get hankering to work with yarn, I guess I'll just crochet. But I sure do admire you knitters!
BECCA - you will have that second quilt done in a flash! Remember our friend, Warren? He worked with a man whose wife was unable to conceive. So they put in to adopt twin boys. Finally, the call came but it was twin girls. They decided to adopt them anyway. Eight months later they got a call from another agency who had twin boys. After much discussion they decided to take the boys, too. And within the year the wife became pregnant! (have no idea where she found the time for that!!). And she had triplets! So they had 7 babies all under the age of 2. What a household! I know this reads like a joke, but it's a true story!
TINA - I'm sorry you can't take any other pain meds. But sounds like you'd better stick with your Rx. Is Frankie feeling better? When does your spring break start?
Well, tonite we are FINALLY going to grill that chicken along with sweet potatoes and some veggies. Just to play with our new grill. That means no real cooking for me!
I hope you have a scrumptious meal tonite with no cooking, too!
