Good Morning,

How is everyone after the very stormy night across the country. We just had some light rain. Nothing coming down now, but supposed to later today. That's OK. I have lotto blocks to work on as well as a quilt on the frame.

BECCA - I hope Tylenol or perhaps Ibuprofen will help the inflammation of your TN so you won't have to make the trek to the specialist. When I mentioned I sometimes use liquid bandage when I do hand stitching I meant that I use it like a thimble. I put it on before I stitch to protect my affected finger, not as a treatment. It's not ideal, but it's much less bulky than a thimble.

CHICKIE - you worry me when you get those storm alerts! Glad I don't know about them until afterward. I saw that movie you know . . . . I know how Kansas can be! Nice to have some time with your DGS. You say he's not working or in school. Does he have a plan? It's a hard age of decisions. Military perhaps? I always think a good question to ask anyone who is stalled in life where they see themselves in 10 years and what they think is the best path to get there.

IRISH - you had an action-packed day yesterday! How did everything go with the flooring? Do you know you can get passport photos taken in advance at Costco or at many drug stores that have a camera department. Are there still camera departments? I hope you don't have a flooded basement again. And I think it's time for an eagle update . .

TINA - You just spent days cleaning your whole house and it went and got itself all dusty in just a day? I'd sit down and cry, I think! lol! Glad you are feeling better. How did Frankie do at work yesterday?

JANA - how did Stu's interview go? And what is the job he was interviewing for? And will it fit into school?

CAROL - how are things going at your house? CA weather has been a bit wild lately.

CAROLe with an E - we're missing you!

Our enchilada casserole last night got some rave reviews from DH. and lucky me, there is half of it left. So tonite will be another heat'n'eat supper. and a big salad. I buy tomatoes and avocados at Costco and they are so good but they all ripen at the same time! I guess they assume everyone only wants to make guacamole with their avocados and not eat one a day in salads. Does anyone here refrigerate avocados? I've always heard you aren't supposed to - like tomatoes.

Good morning from cold, but sunny, SW. Pa...Oh Mother Nature, what's going on......

Mary, I really like that idea of the liquid bandage, as Martha would say, "It's a good thing".....I think there are some places that still have the photo stuff.. There is a big post office not too far from us and they do the passport thing but getting them on the phone is nearly impossible...This PO has a reputation of having not being very nice, not like our PO, especially when Kathy was here, lol...But, I'll get er done! Can't help you with the avocados, would you believe, I've never tasted one???

Tina, As Mary said, I'd also sit down and cry, big time...Glad you're feeling better and hope Frankie gets better real quick..

Becca, sure hope you get some relief from that ache...I can't imagine anything worse..And you sure don't need this on top of everything else...Hope things get better for you and today is a good one....

Chickie, everytime I hear about storms, I think of you..I think I would panic each time an alarm would sound....What do the cows do? Do they have shelter? I also saw the movie, yikes!

Well, right now, I have the stove and the refrigerator sitting in the dining room and 2 young, handsome men here, working on the floors...The bathroom is ready for the new stuff and then they'll put down the ply wood in the kitchen...Things are moving ahead, so exciting.....They expect to have it finished today...Sure would be a shame if they don't get finished and can't get the appliances hooked up until tomorrow.......
Doing some laundry and probably try to do some cleaning upstairs....

But, as far as dinner, gee whiz, sure can't cook if I don't have a stove....I'm not even thinking about it.....

Happy eating.............

Eagle Update:
OK, here's the latest...Our local couple is busy taking care of 1 egg in their new nest..The tree is out of cam range and you can only see them coming and going...The organization who takes care of the cam has to wait until nesting season is over before they remount the camera..No one is allowed within so many feet during the season...
And in another nest down the river, they just had their 1st egg..There again, there is a camera but just a little harder to see...We got spoiled with our old nest/tree...So, our eagles are coming back, big time...
Ft. Myers nest, E9 is flapping those wings and getting them good and strong for his 1st flight....

Good Morning Everyone!
Tonight will be Fast Hash, green beans, salad and garlic toast.

It will be a busy day today. I am going to help in a 5th grade classroom with the Math lesson. Teacher says I need to patrol the back of the room to make sure everyone understands. Some of them are pretending to pay attention.

The weather here today will be enviable! We are in a stretch of days that are clear and today will be the warmest at 76*. Hope all of you have such nice weather, if not today, soon! However, we are still listed as in drought so need more rain.

Becca - Hope the Tylenol works for you!

Irish - Thanks for the update.

Maryz - Hope you get to the quilting, know you have several quilts to keep you busy.

Have a great day!
Carol

Good morning :)
Yeppers Mary, I keep my avocados in my fridge all the time now :) saves me lots of money. .. we eat lots of them.
I about did want to cry before I cleaned but I can tell you I about cried all evening and night because I was in so much pain! After vacuuming, mopping, dusting and taking care of the boys I went to town to the bank, went and washed the suburban and went grocery shopping, came home and cooked supper which ended up being banned food and sweet potato fries. I ended up taking a pain pill at 7:30 and then at 3:30....I don't think I slept 3 hours total last night. ... I'm thinking a nap is in my future today :)
I have pork tenderloin thawing for supper and we have salad.
Frankie is finally feeling better :)
Tina
