Good Morning!
It's not raining! Though it is 34* so it's not warm either. I woke up extra early this morning and got tired of laying in bed so I was making coffee at 0430. The kids demanded their breakfast and now they are all back in bed.
Yesterday was a pretty quiet day, just working slowly on some blocks in my sewing room, listening to an audio book. Then we noticed we'd made a calendar notation that the bloodmobile was at our grocery store parking lot, so we decided to make an afternoon of it. After all, they give out free cookies and juice! Though I thought it a bit much when Bill called it 'taking me out to lunch'. Today, maybe I'll get some more 'block work' done. Too cold to work outside, not enough laundry to do, vacuuming is done. There's nothing else to do but sew, right?
JANA - my sister's step-son says that buddy passes are all but discontinued now because, as you know, they are only as space permits. They've cut the number of flights so most flights now are filled. She doesn't even bother with parental passes. Hope Aaron feels better soon. When my son had his wisdom teeth pulled at age 19, he slept most of the afternoon but wandered into the kitchen that evening. He's almost 6 feet tall, and suddenly passed out and started to fall. Bill, only 5'7", caught him and gently lowered him to the floor. We got Mike back to bed and he stayed put until morning! Hope the kids' move happens as planned. Oooh, spiking kids' punch - not good! But at least they probably weren't driving!
IRISH - When Autumn got married, she told all her friend their kids were welcome. But she arranged a room with Disney movies, toys, books, and two babysitters for them. Worked perfectly! Sounds like Jim is sort of drifting, looking for something to do. I wonder if he would like jigsaw puzzles or maybe even Lego's. Both are popular with adults. Could you talk friend, Ted, into taking him for a drive one day? Or to a guy place like a car museum or just out for a burger?
BECCA - looks like those quilts will be ready in plenty of time for the twins' arrival. Though, twins do tend to put in an early appearance . . .
CHICKIE - still chuckling at my visual of you and Boomer doing yoga together! I woke up this morning thinking I should do a bit, too. How did my back get so stiff overnight? Sometimes I purposely make extra rice and then freeze it. It thaws and reheats beautifully.
Supper: always a conundrum at 0530. But I'm thinking I'll make spaghetti and put the last of the meatloaf into the spaghetti sauce. Plus, I have leftover spaghetti sauce in the freezer so I'll clean some leftovers out of there as well. Stop by and we'll share!
