Good Morning!
Boy, did we have rain and cold yesterday! Not sure today is going to be any better. I will be bundling up for my morning walk today for sure!
We did go back to Cabela's in Oly and Bill bought his new stove. We have had a gas camp stove as long as we've had each other but it's starting to die. And he is tired of carrying a stove AND a grill in the RV because they each take a propane tank. So now he has one unit and it has legs to he doesn't need to take up picnic table space or haul a folding table out. He is happy - he got the one he wanted. It was almost $340 but he had $300 in credit built up on the Cabela's Visa just for using the card to pay on-line utility bills for the past two years. Plus we had a $20 coupon so our total outlay was about $16. He grilled burgers last night and they were awesome. Of course, that had nothing to do with the homemade buns I made . . .;o) We invited friends who are always up for spur of the moment socializing and had a nice evening.
JANA - I've always used our camp stove for canning, too. Sure saves on kitchen mess! So now it will be even easier. Warren and Lois's son is also an airline captain (and his wife is a flight attendant) so they would also bring things from around the world. and sometimes it trickled down to us. Great to have your own pipeline!
TINA - my very pregnant niece in Alaska got married (35 yrs ago) and my brother and all her 5 brothers wore guns in holsters on their hips and carried shotguns, rifles, whatever they could find at the wedding! Everyone laughed because this family takes nothing too seriously. Incidentally, the bride spent the wedding night in the hospital in false labor. But the point is, it's the marriage, not the wedding that's important. And after the baby comes, she will be amazed at how her thinking will change.
BECCA - hope you enjoyed your quiet day together yesterday. How are the baby quilts coming along?
CHICKIE - it's OK if you missed a day. I ate enough last night for the two of us! lol! Did you get into your sewing room yesterday?
Today I hope to FINALLY get a quilt onto the frame. It's been one thing after another. But I did get my Bernie home and set up again, so I do have back-up plans if the quilting thing gets put on the back burner again.
As for supper, we have leftover meatloaf and baked beans. And salad fixings, so I'm thinking we'll be OK.
What's the story for your supper tonite?
