SUPPER CLUB - Thursday, Feb 23rd

Good morning!
No rain again this morning! Yay! 34', but still, we're dry! Yesterday I actually got about 5 minutes of raking done in the yard. We have quite a mess going out there. All I need is some sunshine, a bottle of ibuprofen, and some oomph. Until I get all that gathered up, I'm going to be an inside girl!
Yesterday I cooked for 5 hours, visited with my brother, Al, for 4 hours, worked with house plants for 1 hour, and we were at our friends delivering/eating supper for 2 hours. Plus 5 minutes of 'yard work'! Oh, and I did 3 loads of laundry, too! A very full day! Today will be less full - one last load of wash and whatever else I decide to do. Bill finished my bookshelf over the head of the bed in the trailer so I get to move my books in now. I collect books like I collect fabric. Mostly all thrift shop books, but I have quite a collection and like to take some of them with me on the road.
TINA - you go, girl!! I'm so sorry your parents are giving you grief, but I so admire you for standing up like you did! And you are so right - it's their loss! you are a crown jewel in their lives and they don't appreciate you. You have better things to do with your time - like snuggle little necks! And what BECCA said is so true: "you can't help someone if they won't let you." You'll only frustrate yourself. I saw on FB last night you weren't feeling well. I hope it's a passing thing and nothing serious. and so sorry for your loss of a friend.
JANA - I wanna be one of 'your girls', too! Never mind that I am years older than you are! lol! I bet they love their time with you!
BECCA - I remember my mom had terrible neuralgia pain in her face/jaw. So if your dentist can't find anything, you just might be right! I guess there's no need for a second hystie, then. ;o)
IRISH - wow! Your note was so full yesterday! That Jake! The least he could do is leave a note so you wouldn't worry. And yay! you are getting your passport! Time to start lining up those ducks! I can't wait for your trip to happen!
CHICKIE - glad you are getting some nice flip-flop days. I've heard that phrase, "Planned Obsolescence". It stinks. Now they make mattresses, too, so they won't hold up for more than 8 years.
Our friends were very appreciative of supper being delivered last night. And insisted we share it with them, so I took enough for all of us to eat plus another meal for them. and we have enough here for us to have dinner again tonite. No cooking today! Wheee! So we'll be dining on swiss steak again with twice baked potatoes and salad.
I did the green beans a new way (for me, anyway). Saute'd bacon bits and diced onion and added them to the beans with S&P. Added a bit of olive oil and popped them into our friends' oven for about 35 minutes. They were great! and I don't even care for green beans that much.
What great ideas do you all have for tonite?
