Good morning!

Boy did we have wind! We stopped early because of high wind warnings. So we'll be on the road early today - as soon as it gets light. Plan to stay in Winnemucca tonight I think. That's a bit under 300 miles. We'd go further but it's another 200 miles to next place to stay on our route and 500 miles is too long for this crowd!

Irish, I bet your yard is pretty right now! Any final word on Terry's job interview? Any more interviews on the horizon?

Chickie, for a guy who wears overalls every day your Doyal is very artistic!!

Becca, so nice to be able to Skype with our missed loved ones isn't it! How's the second baby quilt coming along? Do the twins have names yet?

Velda, you are always so busy. And only 6 weeks left before you go home.

Tonight's supper will be chicken in the leftover alfredo sauce from last night. Over noodles.

Good morning everyone,
Maryz Riding in a car iin the wind s bad & to be towing a camper wouldn't be fun.I would stop also.I dreamed we were traveling in a camper last nite.Been about 24 yrs now.
I haven't ask about names & they didn't say.I need my batting which I will get Monday.Little boy quilt only needs border sewed on then quilt.Girls completed ready to quilt.

Chickie That's a neat idea for DH to keep his gun & use As decorative.

Irish that step in tub must be expensive.I have never seen the advantage when you can step in a shower & sit on seat unless it's for soaking.

Velda must be fun going to Club House meeting with ladies for activities. And you stay bust too with mission project. My BF told me yesterday she has made 15 lap quilts to donate.I thought that was wonderful.

We have leftovers chicken breast & green beans. Will add cranberry relish.Found a pack of frozen cranberries I didn't know I had. Also 2 jars of strawberry Jam.Been doing lots of cleaning this wk & found treasures.lol

Good morning! The wind is here and will stick around for as long as I can see the future on my weather channel app. Welcome to Kansas—hang on to your hair!!!

The Hooligans and I went over and let Choc and Maggie out for morning potty, feed and treats. Dad will be home late this morning.

He is very artistic… He’s fun to have around to craft things. I’m loving my wagon wheel pot rack and matching chandelier as well as my quilt racks, and all the other cool stuff he makes for me. I think his overalls are so cute!

This gun was very special, as his dad gave it to him for Christmas when he was 12 years old. Actually, I didn’t realize it, but it will fire when he’s finished with it. I doubt if he uses it, but neat to know. He does have a lot of “wall art” in old rifles.

Becca—dinner sounds yummy! I love cranberry anything… and strawberry jam. I think it’s all been accounted for here. Modene hated her big shower with a seat in the apartment we built on our house for her. She wanted HER TUB come hell or high water… we had both. (She was so prone to falls; the shower was for safety issues.) Well, she was too quiet and didn’t come to eat. Upon investigation… she was happily sitting in the floor of the shower with the drain plugged, water going full blast, and an inch of water on the bathroom floor running out the doggie door there and into the carpet in the bedroom the other direction… sigh! Another time she was too quiet, and she was cleaning her watch. She took it apart, cleaned the crystal, cleaned the numbers clear off the face, lost the hands and had the innards in pieces… sigh! Never a dull moment! I totally empathize with you and Irish!

Mary--safe travels! I remember Winnemucca from the song "I've been everywhere, man, I've been everywhere..."

I had a nice visit with Mom yesterday. I picked up a little bouquet of purple and white baby carnations to fill her purple vase, and she enjoyed those. The hooligans rode shotgun with me and were content to visit Choc and Maggie, then wait at the grocery store and wait again at Mom’s. The received a treat for good behavior after every stop. They don’t get to go when it gets too hot to sit in the truck, so they are enjoying tripping now.

Along with the wind, warmer temperatures arrive for today and tomorrow… 50s today and almost 80 tomorrow! It drops again on Monday.

I’m cleaning floors again today—finishing what I started and re-doing to get to the finishing part. At least we don’t have rain in the forecast, so it should be dusty with the wind but not muddy.

Dinner tonight will be a re-run of last night… I had Brussels sprouts with olive oil and balsamic vinegar for my side. DH had corn, as in corn bread, for his side. He also choked down a couple of sprout halves. I’ll make some salads, and we’ll be good to go.

Bon appétit!

Good afternoon from semi sunny but very cold and wintery, SW. Pa...This weather really keeps you on your toes from one day to the next, you just never know what's going to happen.....

Oh my Mary, good that you stopped...Don't need you and the "family" topsy turvy in the ditch or over a hill....Terry hasn't heard anything about the job as yet but that's OK...He did tell me, the higher ups where he's working called a meeting on Monday and announced his promotion...Too bad they don't have a company up here and he could just transfer...But, we all know, everything happens for a reason, and sometimes, that reason takes a little longer...And I keep telling him, good things happen to good people and he's sure on top or near the top of that line....Winnemucca, I love that name!

Becca, Isn't it amazing what you find, sometimes good as in your case....I usually end up with stuff that should have been thrown away years ago, lol....In our house, Jim was the shower person and I had to have my tub....Now, he's completely forgotten how to use a shower and even though I've gotten a tub seat from the VA, I feel he needs to actually sit in the tub/water to help with some of his aches/pains....But, now, it's getting too hard on my back, lugging him in and out, lol....Oh well, on to plan B.....If the lottery was just a bit easier to win, but then I'd have to start playing, right! Darn, always something......

Chickie, You talking about taking flowers to your Mom brought back so many memories...After my Mom went into the nursing home, at lease once a week when I'd visit, I'd stop on the way and get her 3 carnations...The gals at the green house would fix them up special and Mom would be thrilled...When Mom passed, I called to have flowers sent and those same gals, although they didn't know Mom, sent a bouquet...
I certainly hope you'll share that 80 degree weather...We'd certainly appreciate it....Right now, we only have about 6 inches of snow and the roads are clear but it's still darn cold....But, this is what we can expect...Jim's birthday is on the 15th and he remembers when he and his sibs were young they'd always to their grandmother's for birthdays and when it came time for his big day, they always had a big snow and couldn't go....Our DDIL, Cindy, said, all she has to do is look at DS's lacrosse home game schedule and she knows when it's going to be cold and miserable....See we don't need groundhog to predict our weather, lol....You mentioning Modene and her flood, boy can I relate....A few months ago, Jim decided he was going to take a shower, although he had no idea what he was doing...Had the shower running, plug in the tub and had the bathroom door locked...Might remember me saying I almost got the ladder to climb in the window and by some miracle, after telling him to turn the thingie on the door, he opened it...The tub was to the top and the bathroom was like a sauna...I fixed the door so he couldn't lock it again, lol...But, little things like that, we just look back and get a chuckle...

Well, as you can see, I'm stalling, I have no idea what we might be having for dinner....And you know what, I'm not even thinking about it, yet....I do have some real mac n cheese and I'll bet I could find the other kind to go with it but, I'll worry about that later....
Until then, I'm playing with my machine.....No ugles today, tomorrow is another day and dinner, oh well............

Happy eating.............

Eagle Update:
Berry nest does have a PIP and maybe a hatch by now...The eagle that had it's talon caught in the trap has been freed and 1 of the eagles in another Florida nest had to be taken out because of a leg injury...Had had fishing line wrapped around a leg until the mother pulled it away but must have hurt the leg....All kinds of excitement in the eagle world......
