Psalm 3

As I study in Psalms I am using 4 different translations: Holman KJV Study Bible; NKJV The Inspirational Study Bible by Max Lucado; The Message by Eugene H Peterson and Die Bibel in German. Why may you ask do I do this? Well the KJV is the closest true translation of scripture so I seek it first and foremost. Then I read the NKJV to see other word meanings. The Message is a poetic take on the Bible and puts scripture to prose. Then I enjoy the scripture in my Native tongue to learn and be able to translate it to the family who are German for a plan of Salvation.

Today's inspiration was in the sidebar of Max Lucado study bible and it states:
The whole Bible and all the great saints of the past join to tell us the same thing. "Take nothing for granted." "Go back to the grass roots. Open your hearts and search the Scriptures. Bear your cross, follow your Lord and pay no heed to the passing religious vogue. The masses are always wrong. In every generation the number of the righteous is small. Be sure you are among them."

What kind of people do you associate with? Who do you turn to for advice? Is God's Word a priority in your decision making? Just some questions to ponder this morning. May God's Word be honored and may you honor God in your works today.

Hugs Prayers and God bless
Izzy
