Supper Club wed feb 8

Post by purrfect-lady » Wed Feb 08, 2017 2:41 am

Good morning!

We are now in Bullhead City. Terry's house batteries in her motorhome are toast. Bill priced out new ones but her SIL can get them for 25% cheaper so she is going back to Vegas to dd's house. But for now we are in an rv park so she has power. Today we are going to visit Oatman, a tourist trap ghost town on historic Route 66. Not far from Kingman. This afternoon we go to lake mead. There is no power there so depending on how her batteries are after a night being plugged in will determine if she goes home to dd's or stays out one more night. We will stay with her whatever she decides. She knows to disconnect batteries when motorhome being stored but in upheaval of my brothers death and later the fast trip to Nevada it got overlooked. Someone else parked her rig for storage and they didn't do it. And she forgot to remind. Expensive lesson. Last night she treated us to Mexican restaurant and we celebrated her birthday a few days early with turtle pie and a small gift.

We still have no internet. We are using t-mobile for travel internet and they keep telling bill they are working on it. 9 days and counting. Bill unhappy with them. So I am typing on my tiny phone keyboard. This will be short. And dinner tonite will be restaurant leftovers.

Happy suppertime!

I am finally with the early birds, LOL. But I have no idea what I will cook. I too am posting from my phone. Goofy WiFi isn't working right.
Glad you have this time with your sister in law.
Yesterday was a great day getting started on my Quilt-as-you-go. I will work on it again today. Dancing last night, and we tried our new couples waltz that we have learned in dance class. DHWas self conscious and had to stop. Need more practice. Also dance floor was too small and crowded.

Good morning from an overcast, sort of wet, chilly, SW. Pa...We did have rain over night and today's temps are to fall and then get some of that white stuff tonight...We were close to 70 yesterday but I guess our spring is over for while...Here in Pa. we really do have 4 seasons but there are times, we get them all in a matter of a few days......

Mary, that does sound like an expensive lesson...But, as you said, with all that had happened, who would have remembered....Hope the rest of the trip has no surprises for you or for Terry.....

Vel, I love to hear about your dancing and think it's great...Friends of our's go a couple of times a week...He is in his 90s and took lessons to be able to dance with his new friend, who is in her late 80s...Sure keeps them young.....

Chickie, I keep thinking of you in Ft. Myers...You do know, you were close to the eagle's nest, don't you? Next time, I'm going with you....

Today, Comcast is coming to replace the boxes on the tvs...The picture on both sets has been cutting out and I made up my mind, they had to come and do something, I wasn't messing with them sending me boxes and then me returning the old ones...Also, told the gal, when you pay $200.00 per month, these things should be taken care of and amazing how quickly they can credit your account....So, the fellow is coming this afternoon...Tomorrow, I have someone coming about the step in tub..All kinds of excitement.....But, I'm thinking, I'm going to hide in the sewing room most of the day...Another frustrating night and I need to do something to get out of my nasty mood, lol....

As for dinner, for sure today is the veggie/beef soup...Have it cooking and also have cinnamon rolls raising.....Kitchen is going to smell so good!

Happy eating.............

Good morning :)
Mary, glad Terry can get a discount on her batteries, I know they are really expensive!
Irish, nasty moods must be in the air, I woke up in an ok mood but within just a little bit I was in a nasty one. ... could be that the PO got me in mine by not picking up a package yesterday ever with a package pick up request and then I rescheduled it for pick up today and got an email that they picked it up. .... Funny it's still sitting outside waiting! The boys are being difficult to do I have them in the living room and I'm at the kitchen table. I think I'm going to make sticky buns so I can take out some frustration on the dough :)
Vel, I love to dance but we don't anymore, bummer.
I have chicken thawing for supper, it'll be baked in one form or another.
Tina

Hoping for a sunny mood to find me :)

Good afternoon!

Dinner last night was not inspirational. Turkey sandwiches. So now the turkey is gone, I will do steaks on the barbie - the indoor one, ranch fries, and a tossed salad. Might find something at the bakery for afters. The cow has run dry, so I need milk and eggs. The kitchen is cleaned within a inch of my life, so I don't want it dirtied! LOL Somehow everyone wants to eat!

The car's windshield is replaced. It is sitting out in the sun for the glue to cure. Michael is working on the shop in the garage. He is about to build the two work tables in there. That means, when he is done, the cars will change places and I can park in there again.

Time to go to the store,
Enjoy,
Jana
