Joy in the Lord

Many Have believed the devil's lie that Christians are not supposed to enjoy life. To them being a Christian means adhering to a lot of "Thou Shalt NOT" commandments. That adds up to Thou shalt not enjoy life. Taha certainly is not true, but there are professed Christians who help Satan promote the idea by spreading gloom and despair.

We should remember that Jesus was an exciting personality. Crowds thronged Him wherever He went. Even little children climbed into His arms. He once compared Himself and His disciples to a wedding party. He spoke of His joy and wanted His joy to be in His followers.

People are not saved by being joyful, but when they receive salvation, joy comes along with it. Christians have the privilege of being joyful and of letting others know that it is a happy experience to serve the Lord.

We have to stay close to the Lord to have His joy. Sin will rob us of our joy.

God wants us to have JOY not despair!

Hugs Prayers and God bless

Izzy Thank you for this. Many times the ole Devil tries to get up down .I am so positive & never want the devil to have any victory in my life.I rebuke him & claim victory in Jesus. We have that joy & must live it to the fullest. Becca

The commandments that the Lord set forth for us to follow are not there to hinder us in this life, but to give joy. When we are obedient to the Lord's commandments, we have joy and blessings. There is a scripture, Adam fell that men might be, men are that they might have joy.

There is no greater blessing or gift than the atonement. We can gain the blessings from the atonement, when we do what he asks. What joy there is in that!
