SUPPER CLUB - Wed. Jan 25th
Good Morning!
I'm not sure what we're doing today. We're hoping we'll be getting our truck back! Our friends, Don & Linda, parked next to us in their motorhome convinced us to let them be our back-up transportation. But when the truck had to stay in a second week we decided we should rent a car. Good thing because yesterday THEIR car went into the shop! Hopefully both vehicles will be back by this afternoon.
CAROLE - hope you had a nice time at your bee yesterday. Where do you meet that there is room for people to bring machines? BTW, you asked me in sew-in what we did with our old trailer. Sold it on Craig's List, but waited until after we were settled in the new one and had cleaned the old one until it gleamed!
BECCA - I am so sorry to hear your hubby has been having mini-strokes. Prayers for him, and for you. I love our dentist! He works 5 days a week and is very friendly and funny. His prices are about what everyone else charges. I am just hoping that whatever happened in my jaw didn't screw up my two implants.
CHICKIE - odd about your truck. maybe it was smoking because something dripped on something hot? Grilling pizza is a 'thing', I know as we gave our culinary student DGS a pizza pan for the outdoor grill. However, our little travel grill would never accomodate it. My neighbor here, Linda, was doing her floors and suddenly got sick, too. Apparently this allergy to ughlies is also a 'thing'!! I thought of you when she told me about it. The LQS we went to here in Georgetown is called Poppy's Quilts. We also went to the Quilting Bee in Cedar Park. But their prices were $2/yd higher!
TINA - glad you've arranged for good weather for us! We are still on track to arrive in Deming Sunday! You are too good! If MY DD had just let her kids track up my clean floors, said DD would then be doing some mopping up after her child!
Now for supper - I think we'll grill some chicken outside and add some Rice-a-Roni and a veggie yet to be named.
What are you naming for your supper tonite?

Re: SUPPER CLUB - Wed. Jan 25th
Good morning! We are going to be in the 40s today… After almost 70 yesterday, that’s chilly! The hooligans and I walked 2.5 miles yesterday on our doggy rounds. We took Ava with us on her leash to see Choc and Maggie, and she sure enjoyed it! I’m sure she had a long nap when we returned her to her little kennel.
My truck… poor little Millie… I swear there is a timer in it, because every January/February it costs $1,000 to $1,500. This year it is a leaking tappet cover and gasket replacement. The little leak was causing oil to drip onto the engine and cause the smoke. When I looked at the engine, it looked much “dirtier” than I thought it should be. It was. DH had to go take some chain saw blades to be shortened, and I asked him to take my truck and have it diagnosed. We’ll be taking it in for repairs later today.
Ah, ha!!! So I’m not unique with the housework allergies!!! I knew it was real! I guess Don and Linda’s car needed some attention… Hope it’s not expensive!
You could make little individual pizzas… I looked up the quilt shops—I’d stay at Poppy’s just for the name and the poppy fabrics!!! Crazy the cotton prices these days!!!
Did you hear about the lady who murdered her husband? The officers went to investigate and didn’t come back. The sheriff went by to see what the delay was and found the officers standing outside and demanded to know why they weren’t inside checking it out. Their reply, “her floors aren’t dry yet…” That hit close to home here, and I’m sure it’s hitting close to Tina as well…
We had burgers smothered in onions and mushrooms on cibatta buns with fries on the side last evening. They sure were good! Tonight will be a re-run of the burgers and fries for DH and my pizza for me. I’ll throw in salads and call it good. I’ll have to start from scratch tomorrow evening.
Bon appétit!

Good morning
Mary, I was going to make her mop when she came to pick them up but I couldn't stand it being walked on and spread around more LOL but she did go to the store for me
yep weatherman confirmed last night that we should have about 9 dry days here
it's a little colder though but I'm hoping no wind at all too
I hope your get your truck back today
I love the name of the quilt shop!
Chickie, see allergy uglies is a thing
I hope your truck is an easy fix
I was going to go apply for a part-time job this afternoon but Frankie doesn't want me to, he's not willing to watch the boys by himself on Fridays
he doesn't want them to go to a babysitter and wants me to watch them but also talks about him not wanting a party time job too ugh.
I think I'm going to take some tamales out of the freezer for supper and make Spanish rice and if we need more there's always salad.
Tina

Hello everyone, sunny & already 60 at 11:00. Some January weather but I love it.
Maryz Sure hope you get your wheels back.Being Without is no fun.Enjoy your time with Tina.Glad there will be no rain. The price of fabric is soaring these days.I keep going to my stash & it keeps shrinking. But DD lives close to big stores again & she will look out for sales.
Chickie Those allergies are all too real.Vacuming is one of the worst for headaches.I too am touchy when I have just mopped.Want it to shine at least a day or two.Chickie What did you put in the hand of overall Sam?
Tina DH isn't a candidate for any kind of procedure. He has too many things wrong & cannot be put to sleep. You just live with whatever. No fun but that's life.Got a chuckle on DHs comment but he doesn't want to watch them for 1 day.
Funny I dreaded the overall Sam but it so cute & I like them better than SBSs.
Will be turkey sausage, with stir fri veggies. Cookies for DH. Becca

Weather not too bad, fog yest.and snow tonite. I am retired so I do not care. HA-HA

Good afternoon from a very sunny, warm, gorgeous, Sw. Pa...As Becca, said, this is some January weather and we love it also......
This is going to be a quickie....Jim and I have been "redding" up and then he asked if we could go for a ride....Of course we can go, on a day like this, would be a sin to stay inside....Not sure where we're going but I am sure the car will pull in somewhere that has food....Hold your ears Mary, Jim wants to go to Long John Silver's but I promise to get the chicken...But, we'll see.....
Not much happening, just enjoying the day......
And will enjoy it more if I don't have to think up something or better yet, cook it!
You all have a great day, stay safe.......
