A Good Testimony

This verse is about Barnabas, an associate of the Apostle Paul, during his early missionary work. Barnabas was a man to admire, and he set an example for us to follow.

Every Christian should be a good person. Christians should have good dispositions. They should not speak in anger. They should be gentle, kind, cooperative, outgoing and helpful: Christlike and bear the fruit of the Spirit.

Barnabas was filled with the Holy Spirit, full of faith, and a soul winner. We too should have these characteristics.

What is your testimony? Are you a good example of a Christian?

Hugs, prayers, and God bless
Izzy

PS I love all your comments and am so glad that these devotions start your day in an upbeat mood and are touching your heart :)

Wow, I need work. When I am at work I pretty much just do my job and go home.

I probably should get more involved but don't want to get sucked into the drama or the gossip. I'm a loner. I do get excited when their kids do something cute or fun. and I participate in a group lunch event. But I don't want them in my business and I don't want to be in theirs.

I'm really not a very social person.

Izzy What a great devotional.Makes us stop & take inventory. We do have a big responsibility representing Our Lord & Savior.I know I come up short.

Chris when I worked at school I kept myself apart from the gossip & conversations that I didn't want to be a part of.It is hard to be out among the World as we know it today.

I pray I let others see Christ in me.May God bless each of us as strive to walk with him.

Sometimes we look at all that we should be doing in our lives and we get overwhelmed. The Lord doesn't want that. Pick one principle and incorporate it and live it. It will become a habit soon, then you can add another. Line upon line, precept upon precept. Role models in the scriptures give us something to strive for, but remember, they too had to had to learn, try, fail, pick themselves up and do it again. So can we. Just keep trying.
