I'm afraid to ask about all y'all's weather, it's been so crazy everywhere lately. We are foggy, 50', and misting. They keep predicting T-storms, but so far that hasn't happened.
Yesterday we made our move back to the first campground. It's good to be 'home'! I had time to finish putting together my second set of cat swap blocks and get out some fall leaf/log cabin blocks from last November's lotto. Got them all trimmed and the first row sewn together. I want to put a flying geese border on this quilt so I picked up a few fabrics for that as we were out doing some errands.
And then we settled in to watch the Seahawks game. And the first quarter was pretty good! After that it was less good. And second half we needed crying towels. Oh well. Already looking forward to next year.
IRISH - So far we haven't seen the nasty dog people return. We drove through their part of the campground yesterday just to see before trying to walk with Scottie. I hope your Steelers have a better outcome than our Hawks did. Cari's DH must be very happy. Glad someone is, 'cuz no one we know is smiling.

CHICKIE - I don't remember what cedars you have. At home our property is filled with western red cedar. They grow 150' tall and it takes two people to get arms around the trunks of many of our trees. It is the cedar that is used to line closets and cedar chests, etc. Western Red Cedar is the WA State Tree and they like moist climates. The 'cedars' here (really junipers) only get about 30' tall and even the 100 year old trees have trunks about as big around as a person's thigh. We were told they aren't native to this area but someone brought them in and they have invaded everywhere. They have a lot of pollen and kind of 'explode' when they release it. Part of the reason we like this campground better than the other one is there are more live oaks here and the other cg is all cedars.
BECCA - that caramel cake sounds pretty tasty! and just what I don't need! Are you all done 'family-ing' now for a while, or is there another wave coming? I saw you had one baby quilt almost finished and one to go. What pattern are you using? Are you going with classic pinks and blues or are you shaking it up with other colors?
JANA, TINA, CAROL, and VELDA - hope you girls are having a good weekend!
I don't have a supper plan for tonite. Since we are eating lunch in a restaurant, that should fill us up and if we get hungry this evening, we have chicken flautas in the fridge we can heat up and have with guacamole. Or if I know us, there will be lunch leftovers. But tomorrow I want to make Some pinto beans with turkey sausage in the crockpot. You guys talking about this this past week has made me crave them!
And what are you all craving for tonite?
