Good Morning!

a beautiful day here yesterday after the storm moved out and another pretty day ahead of us today. Yesterday we took two long walks with "Junior", as Bill calls Scottie. The campground has almost emptied after the holiday weekend. Now we are back to just us "regulars" who sort of live here.

Yesterday I got a lot of sewing time in. I put the borders on a 60" quilt top and made the binding to go with, I made 6 blocks for January lotto, and I got a quilt top from last year's cat swap almost half together. That last project will be for my older DD, Lara, who has claimed it for her new craft/guest room. Then about 3pm, our 2 main couples of friends came for happy hour, cards, chili & cornbread, and campfire. What a nice evening!

Today is laundry. Ugh. Off to Washatopia we go. I like to go early so we can get adjacent washers and dryers. I have a 'thing' about that. I'm afraid if we our washers are in different places, I will forget a load. Plus, if we go early we get back early and have the rest of the day free.

IRISH - you can come toss in a few loads with ours if you wish. your mountain must be growing by now! I sure know how you feel when those kids leave. When Autumn visits us = which is rare - I know what it's like watching her drive out our driveway knowing I won't see her again for another year. The tears do flow.

JANA - I'm in the "I can't believe Ethan is 5!" camp! Seems we were all just waiting for him to be born! And how is Stu? When is his hand surgery? how much snow did you end up with?

CHICKIE - I sure wish I'd been there to watch you and Doyal dance! I well remember him doing that pole dance at the Halloween party a few years back, but that was different . .

TINA - nothing like a hot bowl of soup to warm you up on those gloomy, chilly days! Hard to believe we are only 600 miles apart right now and our weather is so different! Are you back to babysitting again today?

CAROL - your dinner sounds yummy to me! navy bean soup and cornbread. My kind of eating! We have leftover cornbread right now. I should freeze it for bean soup day! Smart of you to combine your football game and your gym time!

Since it will be nice again today, I think we'll grill burgers and jo-jo's outside for supper. No real work for me! I'm loving that! I hope your meal is no work at all - but still tasty!

Mary, our sky has cleared and it looks like a beautiful morning :) I haven't gone out in it yet because I was lazy and just got up a few minutes ago. Tomorrow is my last day off, I thought I had till Monday. .. bummer. ... I really love my grandkids but I've really enjoyed my vacation time too and the days after Christmas have pretty much been just me days. .. just doing whatever I wanted. .. Oh well all good things must come to an end I hear LOL ButThursday will start with hugs and kisses so that's good too hehe I guess I have good things in no matter what around here :)
Tonight's supper will be leftover zuppa :) happy days :)

LOL! Mary, what a crazy memory of the Halloween party! All parties there are such fun. What happens in the shop stays in the shop... DH didn't get on the pole this time, but there were plenty that did, and it was too funny.

It is overcast and yucky today, so I'm going to stay inside, work on lotto blocks and watch the birds outside the window. I'll keep the feeders full and have great entertainment. Yesterday I made a quick trip to town for fuel in my truck, more sunflower seeds, and a protector for my phone screen that had been on order and arrived. Ace had some suet cakes on sale, so I picked up a few and hung one out with the seed feeder.

Dinner tonight... probably re-runs... burgers for DH and SPICY soup for me.

Bon appétit!

Good morning!

Well, the best laid plans, often go Awry! The kids went to Kate's parent's for dinner, before I started. So that may be dinner tonight, we'll see. Kate got another case of food poisoning. I am beginning to think it could be a symptom of her having the gall bladder removed.

Stu's surgery is tomorrow, sometime. They will let us know today the time. Ethan will spend the day with us.

Muffins are beeping,
Enjoy,
Jana

Good Morning Everyone!
Dinner today will be leftover Ham and Scalloped Potatoes. We really enjoyed it the other day so I know we will tonight.

Maryz - Watching the game at the gym was the only way I got to see it. Seems it was only on a cable channel and we do not have cable. You are getting quite a bit of sewing down! I am impressed.

"Big Bang" has re-runs for two hours every Sunday, so when you mentioned it I was thinking it was Sunday and we had missed it. lol

Jana - Your plans always seem to change! I too am in the I can hardly believe Ethan is 5 camp. I have pictures of me on my 5th Birthday. It was a very hot July day and Mom had the party in the garage, so we had shade.

Tina - Enjoy your last me day. Hope you are getting some quilting done.

Chickie - Today is overcast here too. In fact rain is predicted five of the next seven days -- Awesome!!! I am working on a charity quilt I started in September. I got it pin basted on NYE and have the middle blocks quilted, so just the two borders. I am marking one of them and the other I think I will meander.

Irish - It was "The Secret Life of Pets".

Have a great day everyone!
Carol
