And the new year has begun! What a question to ask, huh? Who's sid are you on. You know there are only two. Jesus or the devil. Have you chosen a side or are you walking the fence still?

After receiving Jesus as Saviour, we must live for Him. It is possible to be a born again Christian and still do the work of the devil. In Romans 6:16 Paul wrote, "Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are..." It is not possible to serve God and the devil at the same time, so you should yield yourself to God and work for Him each day.

It's a wonderful feeling to know that we are on the Lord's side and that one day we will be in His presence where we will shout His praise forever.

Favorite hymn we would sing in church "I'm on the winning side":)

Once I drifted out in sin, had no hope nor joy within,
And my soul was burdened down with pride, with sinful pride;
Then my Savior came along and He showed me I was wrong,
Now I know I'm on the winning side.

Chorus
Well, I am on the winning side, yes, I am on the winning side,
Out in sin no more will I abide;
I've enlisted in the fight for the cause of truth and right,
Praise the Lord, I'm on the winning side!

Hugs Prayers and God bless
Izzy

Thanks Izzy

I struggle with the devil daily who tries to sneak in bad thoughts, words and actions towards some people in my life that I have a hard time working with. Reading you post it is made more clear now it is the devil trying to make things bad. I will just say a prayer before opening my mouth so only good words come out. Like we have been taught to pray to Him for everything.
Good way to start the day and year.
Blessings to you,

My mom would look at me, when I wanted to step to the wrong side, and quote Joshua, "As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord. That was all it took, for me to Choose the Right.

We too sing a hymn with this scripture.

Who's on the Lord's side, Who?
Now is the time to tell,
We ask it fearlessly,
Who's on the Lord's side, who!

Sometimes we need to know the beginning from the end. This is one answer we do know, Satan loses this battle! I rather like being on the winning team!
