SUPPER CLUB - Tuesday, Dec 27th
Posted: Tue Dec 27, 2016 1:32 am
Good Morning!
We are cooler today. Which will be a relief. I'm just not used to 80* and 86% humidity - especially not for Christmas! At home, our humidity usually comes in the form of falling down drops!
After cleaning the trailer and storage bins underneath our trailer, I sewed the rest of the day. I finished piecing and putting together my Tennessee Waltz top. Now to go find some fabric for borders. I have a Quilt Shop, a Hobby Lobby, and a Joann's within an easy distance. Wish I knew what January lotto and next swap were going to be so I could shop for it all at the same time. I guess I'll be forced to make a second trip out to shop for fabric. Oh darn.
VELDA - sorry to hear you are still coughing. Just curious - did you have a flu shot this year? I am hearing that a 'bug' is going around that didn't get included in the shot this year so I am trying to take my own personal poll as I know so many folks who have been pretty sick.
IRISH - sounds like a wild time at your house! So happy that Jim tolerated it so well. And what did you settle for? new undies or a new washer?
JANA - even in our trailer with no company, I felt like I had lost control over our little traveling home. We still have our little tree up, but there were gifts, boxes, and clutter everywhere. Things are finally coming around to 'normal' again. I can imagine how you are feeling in your big house with all the family there!
CHICKIE - sounds like your lasagna was a hit! Also that rum punch . . . Any eggnog there? Rum is good in that, too. Especially spiced rum. Not that I drink it, of course. But I've heard things . . .
BECCA - thinking of you every day.
TINA - with all your family being there, and all the cooking and cleaning that comes with, I'm sure you're still zonked out in a corner somewhere.
CALIFORNIA CAROL - My middle brother now has stents like yours. He will have them a few more weeks, I think. I thought of you as soon as he told me.
CAROLE with an E - how is South Carolina going? How is your brother doing? Will you travel back to FL with him or are you heading for home?
The plan is to go shopping today - unless something else pops up. So I can't say for sure what supper will be, but we're leaning towards tacos or some other Mexican dish. Maybe chili rellenos? I have chilies, thanks to Tina stocking us up.
Any good supper ideas rolling around in your head yet?
