Good morning everyone!

We finished our little bit of decorating yesterday finally, hung out our Seahawks flag in time for the game tonight, did a little shopping, and went out to dinner. It was a nice restaurant and I had an Asian chicken salad. It was delicious. There were 10 of gathering at the table. And it was half-price wine night too! 🍷🍷. Was a very nice evening.

Becca, I believe if a person loves their home they should stay in it as long as humanly possible. And it sounds like your idyllic setting is good medicine all by it self. Your sugar cake sounds very interesting. What kind of pan do you bake it in? Do you share your recipe?

Chickie, did you get the cookie delivered? How did you decorate this one? I hope a few crumbs fell for the hooligans to slurp up ! I am missing tasty tomatoes too!

Irish, thinking of you! Any word on the new job that Terry interviewed for? For some reason I am thinking it did not pan out. Did you tell us that or am I clairvoyant? Or wrong? Sending hugs your way!

Carol, glad you are feeling well and recuperating quickly. I hope thus is The end of any and all medical problems for you

CarolE - sounds like things are going very well for your DB. And you got him to eat a casserole! And leftovers! Are you a miracle worker? When do you leave for SC Where in FL are you? You may have told me, but right now I know three different people who are in Florida and I keep mixing up where everybody is!

Tina, we had your tamales one night. Only half of them. Yum! We will have the other half again soon because we have the rest of the sauce in the fridge Did you get sewing done yesterday on your day off from babysitting? When does vacation start for you?

Jana, what is your family planning for Christmas? Will everyone gather at your house? Is Stu's hand painful? How are the driving lessons coming along?

I think for our supper tonight we will grill some chicken outside. I will make potatoes of some sort and a salad. Friends gave us a box of homemade candies so we have some little treats for dessert.

What's your supper story?

Good Morning,

You know, it seems so funny to be able to get on here early with the rest of you because we are on the east coast and not the west coast where we are two or three hours behind everyone. We are in Sarasota, FL till Sunday.

It has been such a joy being able to spend this time with my brother, wish we lived closer to each other. My parents would be so proud of the man he has become.

Last nights chicken and dumplings were a success with no left overs. So tonight it will be Swiss steak, potatoes, cucumber salad, and peas. ( corn for DH, DB and I like peas).
Peas use to be my mother's favorite veggie, so we learnt to like them. Lol

Forgot to report on the doctors report from yesterday. Another good report. His arthymia is back in sinc. So he is in good shape.

MaryZ. Sounds like you are all ready for Christmas and Aut's visit. Know you are looking forward to that.

Tina, hope your doctor's appointment went well and you got some answers finally.

Well of to make breakfast for my men!

Carole with an e

Good morning!

Mary—sounds like you had a delightful evening—good food, good friends, good wine…

The cookie—baking and decorating today… delivering tomorrow. DD is off tomorrow afternoon, so I’ll get to spend some time with her. The hooligans won’t get too many crumbs… maybe ones without chocolate chips…

I remember someone used to bake Moravian sugar cookies. I don’t know how the recipe was different. Beca--that cake must be awesome! Your home sounds beautiful, too. Hope you can stay there forever!

Carole—that’s a good report! I like peas, too. I could put them in anything—raw in salads! When I can get peas to grow, I usually eat them before they get into the house.

My menu changed yesterday as I made black bean soup. It was delicious, and we have more for tonight. I must get busy here… bon appétit!

Good Morning!

Mary - yes, Stu's hand bothers him and does ache. His driving is coming along nicely. He just needs practice time behind the wheel. Christmas eve is our big family dinner. This year will be at Matt's house. I am just cooking the Prime rib roasts. My girls have not yet mastered that technique, so I still do it.

Carolers, with the exception - I think that our parents would be pleasantly surprise at how well they did in raising us. I know I am at my kids!

Dinner is from the I don't know cookbook, again. DO has a dentist appointment this morning and he is not a good patient. Ethan will be here to keep me company.

Sarah has a huge mess at the farm to straighten out. The girl they hired lasted only 2 months, made a huge mess of the books, checking accounts and overpaying the vendors that Sarah went back to fix it. Well, it was not done by ineptness, but deliberately to hide the $40,000.00, she embezzled. Oh my word!

Ethan just arrived and usually I am the object of his affection, not today - the little Fisher Price Christmas Santa playhouse is now out and he found It! LOL I have been replaced!

Enjoy,
Jana

Good morning :)
I did get to sew yesterday! :) my vacation starts the Thursday before Christmas but my actual vacation won't start till after Christmas and am I looking forward to that week!
Chickie, glad your do up was good ;) I gotta learn how to make that LOL
Carole, glad your brother is doing so good! My Dr's appointment was just my follow up on my sleep apnea, just so they could Bill insurance another office visit and me pay another $40 co pay, they did write out my RX for a year for my supplies to my machine.
Jana, sounds like Stu's driving is coming along :)
Becca, we need that recipe ;) please
I also went to the chiropractor yesterday because I've been over doing it on my sewing and my left leg was a bit shorter than my right so he helped that out but I still have my Charlie horse in my butt cheek and the lovely pain down to my toes. This morning my leg doesn't want to walk so I'm just kinda sitting
scooting it along with me. I'll take it as easy as possible with watching the boys and trying to get my Christmas sewing done.
I'm not sure what's for supper, maybe banned food because it's easy.
Tina
