And so the story begins; Mary was chosen for the ultimate birth. Thinking back to when I first found out I was with child; I recall excitement and fear all wrapped up together. What do you think Mary felt? She had never been with a man and here she was expecting a child. Even after the angel told her not to fear that she was carrying God's son. I think she would still worry, first was she truly that worthy of the task and then the whole time to make sure she took care of the package with correct rest, eating habits and such.
God knew what he was doing. I think He knew Mary's heart and Joseph's even before the act was done. There are no mistakes when God's hand is in it.
What a blessing he bestowed for all of us to enjoy!!
God Bless hugs and prayers

I can't even imagine being in Mary's shoes. So many changes in her young life.

Thanks Izzy.
In today's world it's no big deal and almost celebrated to be unwed and with child. Joseph corrected that, what Faith he had. And Mary.... The Faith she had, Wow. Stoning was a thing back then. God must have had his Angels busy watching over her.

Mary was such a righteous young woman. Maybe 16 years old. She had been taught well by her parents - mother - to have faith and trust - she shoed that in her answer to the angel - behold, the handmaiden of the Lord.
There is a song that my Kate sings that brings tears to my eyes every time i hear it.
Mary did you know? I am sure it is on you tube. The words are so poignant. Yes it is if you google the title.

Mary had to have tremendous faith & trust in God to take on the role of being Jesus Mother.I have pondered on this & thought how she must have felt being a virgin.
What a blessed gift he bestowed on us. Becca
